As a movie enthusiast who has witnessed the evolution of television over the past few decades, I must say that the cast announcement for ITV’s upcoming drama, Code of Silence, has left me quite intrigued. The inclusion of Rose Ayling-Ellis, a talented actress and dance champion, in the lead role is a testament to the growing representation and inclusivity in our industry. Her character, a deaf canteen worker embroiled in a high-stakes police investigation, promises a compelling narrative that I eagerly anticipate.

View Urgent ForecastITV’s upcoming drama, Code of Silence, has enlisted some well-known actors to join its roster, with the lead role being played by Rose Ayling-Ellis, a former star of EastEnders and the victor of Strictly Come Dancing.
In simpler terms, Ayling-Ellis portrays a hardworking deaf woman in a cafeteria, who unexpectedly becomes a crucial figure in an intense police case.
Actress Charlotte Ritchie, best known for her role in the popular Netflix series “You,” has been cast as DS Ashleigh Francis in the upcoming production. Meanwhile, Andrew Buchan, previously seen in BBC’s “Better” and “Broadchurch,” will portray DI James Marsh.
As a fervent fan, I’m thrilled to share that Kieron Moore, known for his roles in Vampire Academy, Masters of the Air, and The Corps, will portray suspect Liam Bayne in an upcoming production. Intriguingly, my character, Alison, finds myself irresistibly attracted to him, a pull that seems to make our already complex circumstances even more entangled. This waitress’s life is about to get a whole lot more intriguing!
The ensemble is completed by Nathan Armarkwei Laryea from The Witcher, Joe Absolom known for Doc Martin and A Confession, Beth Goddard of The Serpent Queen and Manhunt, Andrew Scarborough who has appeared in Emmerdale and Wolfblood, and Fifi Garfield, recognized from Coffee Morning Club and Deaf Funny.
Presenter Rolf Choutan will also be making his acting debut.
