Gigi Hadid is reflecting on her bond with a late friend.
Following Anne Burrell‘s passing at her residence on June 17, aged 55, the supermodel expressed a touching tribute to the culinary personality who collaborated with her in the cooking competition series Battle Bobby Flay, set for broadcast in 2023.
On June 17th, Gigi shared a photo on her Instagram Story from their joint TV appearance. In the picture, Gigi was wearing a maroon sweater with her hair tied back in a neat ponytail, while Anne donned a V-neck shirt, patterned scarf, and a bleached blond mohawk. As Anne seemed to talk, Gigi smiled affectionately at her.
Gigi expressed deep sadness upon learning about the passing of Anne Burrell, whom she had admired for a long time. Having the opportunity to spend a day with her was a cherished wish that had finally come true.
The thirty-year-old reminisced about their unique shared experience, mentioning that they managed to outdo “Bobby” during the event, spent quality time “together” and enjoyed some food during the filming process.
“I wish we could have done it again,” Gigi continued. “She was awesome.”
The Guests in Residence founder added, “Rest in Peace Legend.”
On that particular day, TopMob News received confirmation from Anne’s family that the television chef, renowned for her work on Food Network shows like “Worst Cooks in America” and “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef”, had tragically passed away at her residence.
In a heartfelt declaration, it was stated that Anne’s gentle glow transcended her circle of friends, reaching countless people worldwide. Although she has departed from our presence, the essence of her kindness, vitality, and unending love endures forever.
Upon hearing the news, I wasn’t alone in honoring the unique spirit of Anne. Members from her close-knit Food Network family also shared their thoughts, with the network itself stating that they were deeply saddened by her premature departure.
Food Network expressed on Instagram that Anne was an exceptional individual with a knack for cooking, frequently demonstrating, competing, and emphasizing the significance of food in her life, as well as the happiness a scrumptious meal can evoke.
Additionally, Aaron Sanchez, who was a co-star on Anne’s Chopped All-Stars Tournament, shared similar sentiments in his Instagram post, stating “Her spirit, her passion, her skill, her leadership, her laughter – indelible. I will forever keep her memory with me.
