Giulia Wrestles Final Singles Match in Japan: When Will She Debut in WWE?

As a lifelong wrestling enthusiast with over three decades of passion for this thrilling sport under my belt, I must say that the imminent WWE debut of Japanese sensation Giulia is nothing short of electrifying! The anticipation is palpable, and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt such excitement about a newcomer.

At today’s Marigold event at Korakuen Hall, Japanese wrestling sensation Giulia officially said goodbye to her fans, as she is set to depart for international competition in the WWE. This significant signing by the company marks a milestone not only for WWE but also for women’s wrestling as a whole. The buzz began when Rossy Ogawa was dismissed from STARDOM as a co-founder, leading to the creation of his own promotion with several original STARDOM performers. There were widespread speculations about Ogawa striking deals with WWE on social media platforms. Although Ogawa denied allegations of talent poaching, he did acknowledge having conversations with WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

At the recent WrestleMania 40, Giulia and Ogawa were present, and during an NXT event, the multiple women’s champion made a screen appearance. Since then, numerous WWE stars, including Roxanne Perez, NXT Champion, have challenged Giulia to wrestle them. It was speculated that she would stay in Japan until she completed her previous commitments with Marigold, which concluded today as she competed in her final singles match against Mai Sakurai from the Donna del Mondo stable. After her victory, spectators showered her with vibrant streamers and chanted her name in admiration. She assured the audience that she would return as a “superstar.”

Giulia’s WWE Debut

Giulia is set to be one of several female wrestlers making their WWE debut soon, alongside ex-CMLL star Stephanie Vaquer and Delta. Although she had a significant farewell event today, she still has one obligation left before traveling to the U.S. On August 25, she will oversee a gauntlet match where every woman from Marigold will have precisely one minute each to wrestle her. She invited female wrestlers from other companies, such as Tsukasa Fujimoto of Ice Ribbon, to participate in the gauntlet match.

In just a few short days, NXT will make its way to Denver, Colorado for the highly-anticipated event, NXT No Mercy, where Perez will continue her reign as the NXT Women’s Champion. To determine who will challenge Perez, a Gauntlet Eliminator match is scheduled for tomorrow night’s episode of NXT, featuring Jaida Parker, Karmen Petrovic, Wren Sinclair, Kendal Grey, Sol Ruca and Adriana Rizzo. Rumors suggest that the company plans to introduce Giulia quickly and making her debut at a significant Premium Live Event would certainly signal the start of an exciting new chapter in her WWE journey.
