At 86, he’s still swinging that camera like a young gladiator in the Colosseum, ready to conquer new stories. His decision to delve into Gladiator III is as bold as Maximus himself charging into battle.
As we anxiously count down the days until Gladiator II hits theaters on November 20th, it appears that director Ridley Scott has his sights set on Gladiator III already.
Scott expressed his preference for working on ‘Gladiator III’ instead of another possible project when asked by The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday. He mentioned that he already has an idea for it and drew inspiration from ‘The Godfather Part II’ for the storyline. Scott is optimistic about this upcoming film, stating that it could potentially be even more remarkable than the first.
At 86 years of age he is still going strong with a Bee Gees biopic up next with Gladiator scribe John Logan as a writer, along with Joe Penhall. and is expected to go into production next year in London and Miami.
