At Glastonbury, people often talk about the unexpected artist roster and hidden performances, yet seasoned festival-goers would say that the most shocking element of the event is typically the weather conditions.

Year after year, Worthy Farm in Somerset stands prepared for any situation. However, through time, it’s become accustomed to hosting multitudes of festival-goers who bravely face either scorching heat or heavy downpours, all with the shared goal of witnessing their beloved artists take the stage.

As I pen down my thoughts on the upcoming movie of the summer, the weather forecast looms large. This year, a scorching heatwave is expected to sweep across the UK in mid-June. The question remains: will this sizzling spell hold till the end of the month and encompass the Glastonbury weekend, or will the stage be graced by performers under the shower as rain takes center stage?

Should you be getting ready for your upcoming weekend trip, here’s a handy guide to ensure you’ve got all the essentials packed!

Based on the latest weather updates, it looks like we have some plans for the upcoming weekend – do you think you’ll require sunblock or umbrellas?

What will the weather be like for Glastonbury 2025 weekend?

Friday 27th June

On Thursday, it appears that rain will persist until around 4 pm as campers prepare for the weekend. Luckily, Friday seems to be less likely to be wet.

As per BBC Weather forecasts, it looks like Friday will have overcast skies and gusty winds, although there should be some sunlight peeking through by about noon.

Expect lows of 14 degrees, and a high of 24 degrees from around 2pm.

By 7 pm, it’s predicted that the sky will be clear – perfect timing for the conclusion of Alanis Morissette’s set on the Pyramid Stage. The temperature is expected to drop slightly afterwards, settling around a comfortable 19 degrees for the rest of the evening.

Saturday 28th June

On Saturday, it seems the day will be partly overcast yet comfortable, offering a gentle breeze that should keep attendees at Glastonbury Festival refreshed as the event progresses.

It’s likely to drizzle, particularly in the morning up until about 1pm, so consider bringing a waterproof coat or poncho along as you set out for the day, as there’s a chance you might require it.

However, the sun might struggle to breakthrough but is anticipated to show up by 4 pm, perfectly timed for John Fogarty’s performance and the reveal of the enigmatic collective, Patchwork.

In the daytime, temperatures are predicted to range from 18 to 24 degrees Fahrenheit. However, because of the humidity, it could feel as much as five degrees warmer than that, particularly during the late evening hours.

Sunday 29th June

Sunday will see Glastonbury end in style โ€“ and sunshine.

During the early hours of the day, a gentle drizzle might occur, but by 2 pm, the skies should clear up entirely, allowing sunlight to shine brightly after that hour. The temperature is predicted to peak at 26 degrees by 5 pm.

Due to high humidity, the temperature may seem significantly warmer than it actually is. People might experience a heatwave that could feel like 30 degrees or more.

If you’re intending to catch Rod Stewart performing at the Legends time-slot when the weather is at its best (his performance starts at 3:45 pm and lasts more than an hour), remember to bring sunscreen and a water bottle, as it could get quite warm amidst the crowd.

On the weekend’s finale, Olivia Rodrigo can expect a pleasant end, as gentle breezes sweep in when the sun sets, offering a refreshing chill for all.
