Go Back to Where You Came From start date confirmed for Channel 4 social experiment

Channel 4’s upcoming social experiment series, “Go Back to Where You Came From,” has revealed its air date, so viewers will soon be able to catch it on their screens.

The provocative new series will arrive on Monday 3rd February at 9pm on Channel 4.

The show features six people – Dave, Bushra, Chloe, Nathan, Mathilda, and Jess – who hold diverse perspectives on immigration and refugee matters, getting deployed to Mogadishu, Somalia and Raqqa, Syria.

In those nations, individuals will directly encounter the perilous risks that numerous migrants are escaping from today, as they follow authentic migratory paths traversing Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

The show will also include “the terror of small boat crossings”.

The goal is to discover if experiencing life as an asylum seeker will influence the views of the given group, as part of this program.

It is based on an Australian show which ran between 2011 and 2018, producing four seasons in total.

Initially announcing the program, Anna Miralis and Madonna Benjamin, Channel 4’s top programming executives, declared in a press release, “We consider this a daring appointment, which underscores our dedication to confront challenging and pertinent issues.

I’m eager to share an experience that could enlighten the British public about some of the harrowing risks asylum seekers encounter while journeying to the UK. Here’s hoping this offers a chance for us all to gain insight and empathy.

As a devoted cinephile, I’m genuinely excited about the upcoming British adaptation of this multiple award-winning Australian format. This cinematic interpretation promises to be thought-provoking and profound, stirring up passionate discussions on a topic that’s long been a contentious issue in Britain, one they’ve wrestled with for decades.
