Godzilla vs. X-Men: The Creation of the Epic Tri-Sentinel Kaiju War

For several months now, Godzilla has been causing havoc in the Marvel comic universe. He’s met up with characters like The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four in these exciting crossovers. Throughout these encounters, Godzilla has undergone some dramatic transformations. In his encounter with the Fantastic Four, he gained the Power Cosmic. In his battle with the Incredible Hulk, the monster known as a kaiju received a gamma makeover. And in his latest fight against Spider-Man, Godzilla was possessed by the Venom symbiote. In this Marvel crossover storyline, Godzilla and Earth’s mightiest superheroes share the same universe, with Godzilla causing widespread destruction wherever he goes. In Godzilla vs. X-Men, the monster is laying waste to Japan while battling a regular ally of the X-Men, Sunfire. Instead of engaging Godzilla in their usual forms, the X-Men create a robot to fight him using a Super Adaptoid. However, they’re not the only ones with a mechanical opponent out to stop Godzilla’s rampage.

The Tri-Sentinel Mecha Kaiju

In a thrilling showdown between the Adaptoid X-Men character and Godzilla, possessing the abilities of Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Jean Grey, Gambit, and Beast, two powerful corporations – Trask Industries and Tsugunai Robotics – responded by creating a unique mechanical entity. Named the “Tri-Sentinel Mecha Kaiju,” this robot boasts the might of well-known monsters like Biollante, Battra, and Rodan. The following comic depicts the intriguing blending of Sentinels and Kaijus, as portrayed in the crossover storyline.

According to a recent announcement from Tsugunai Robotics, which has partnered with Trask Industries in the U.S., they have taken the abilities of defeated kaiju and incorporated them into Trask’s Sentinel robotic technology. This collaboration aims to create a mechanized and weaponized solution against both monsters and mutants. As the X-Men and Godzilla encounter this new Sentinel, it becomes clear that teaming up is the optimal strategy for all parties involved.

The Mutant/Kaiju War Ends

Despite the Super Adaptoid absorbing the X-Men’s abilities and Pym particles allowing it to grow, it still couldn’t overcome the Sentinel alone. However, teaming up with Godzilla, Marvel’s band of mutants managed to keep the robotic foe at bay, giving Godzilla an opportunity to unleash its atomic breath and eliminate the danger. Although the Trask/Tsugunai alliance was vanquished, Godzilla remained undefeated.

In a final effort to communicate with the Lizard King, Charles Xavier resorts to using his abilities to link Godzilla with humanity, focusing particularly on the CEO of Tsugunai, Kaneto. As it turns out, Kaneto’s father perished during an earlier confrontation between Godzilla and Anguirus. In an attempt to dissuade Kaneto from his vengeful intentions, Xavier conveys a message on behalf of Godzilla: “Godzilla wants you to understand that he did not take your life, Kaneto; instead, he was attempting to halt Anguirus.” The story concludes with Godzilla acknowledging the conflict’s resolution and returning to the sea. Fortunately for us, there are still more exciting Marvel crossovers in store for this colossal creature.
