The sequel to “Godzilla vs Kong: The New Empire” doesn’t have an official title announced at present, but production is currently in progress. Notably, Grant Sputore, director of “I Am Mother,” has replaced the original director for this follow-up. Dave Callaham, writer of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” will provide the script. This upcoming film marks the sixth instalment in the MonsterVerse series, with Legendary Pictures again producing it. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the movie, while Toho continues to manage the Godzilla aspect of the franchise.

In a first for Kaitlyn Dever, she’s set to join the MonsterVerse with its latest installment. She joins an ensemble that also includes newcomers Delroy Lindo and Matthew Modine. While specific details about their characters are still under wraps, it is known that Dan Stevens will be reprising his role from Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire.
