As an ardent fan of Good Omens, the news that Doon Mackichan will be reprising her role as Archangel Michael in the finale has me absolutely thrilled! Having followed her career since her days on Smack the Pony, it’s always a treat to see her back in action. Her portrayal of Cathy in Two Doors Down was nothing short of brilliant, and it’s heartening to know she’s been recognized for her talents with a BAFTA Scotland Award.
Despite all the flux and doubt surrounding Good Omens season 3, one cast member has affirmed she’ll be back for more!
In the final episode (which is feature-length), you’ll see Doon Mackichan reprising her role as Archangel Michael, marking her return to the series.
On Instagram, Mackichan expressed her joy following her win of the Best Actress BAFTA Scotland Award for her role as Cathy in Two Doors Down. She also announced that she will begin filming for Good Omens starting from January.
She expressed great joy after winning the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in Glasgow on Sunday. She dedicated her win to the late Simon Carlyle and celebrated in true Cathy fashion!

Not just Mackenzie Crook basked in victory as a Good Omens cast member; David Tennant, portraying Crowley, was similarly honored in the Television Actor category for his performance in There She Goes.
The popular show “Good Omens,” featuring Tennant portraying Crowley and Michael Sheen as Aziraphale, is wrapping up with a final 90-minute episode. Notably, creator Neil Gaiman is no longer involved in the series due to accusations of sexual misconduct.
2025 marks when we’ll start filming the final episode in Scotland, with Neil Gaiman having contributed to its script. However, he won’t participate in production, and his company Blank Corporation won’t take part either. A different writer is anticipated to complete the project, but as of now, Deadline’s sources report that a deal hasn’t been finalized yet.
