Good Omens Star Teases Final Season of Prime Video Series

As a seasoned gamer of life and pop culture, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement when it comes to the prospect of Good Omens Season 3. Having binged both seasons with an unhealthy level of fervor, I find myself eagerly awaiting more cosmic comedy from Aziraphale and Crowley.

Last year, there was an announcement that Amazon’s Prime Video would be airing a Season 3 for the show “Good Omens.” The author and series writer, Neil Gaiman, had earlier mentioned that the second season served as a bridge between the book and his original sequel concept, and he’d been planning the third season for some time. Since its announcement in December, there hasn’t been much news about Season 3, but recently Michael Sheen (playing Aziraphale) shared some hints about what fans can anticipate in the final season of “Good Omens” during his interview with TV Insider.

Sheen shared that the project is still being worked on, but he’s thrilled to collaborate with David Tennant once more, and he adores the character. He’s really looking forward to it, he said. Moreover, she mentioned how special it is to be a part of “Good Omens” because of its dedicated audience and passionate fanbase.

He emphasized that it’s crucial to approach it with great care because it can significantly impact people. The response to the conclusion of Season 2 was nothing short of astonishing, and he anticipates that Season 3 will provide an enjoyable and fulfilling viewing experience for all.

Last month, Tennant appeared at Florida Supercon (via Popverse), and shared a Good Omens tease of his own.

He stated, “I can see how it ends, and I challenge anyone who wouldn’t agree it’s a flawless conclusion.” To clarify, I’m not revealing much. I’m neither judging it as good, bad, or neutral, but I assure you, it’s undoubtedly ideal.

Last year, just prior to the announcement of the third season, ComicBook had a conversation with both Tennant and Sheen where they expressed some wishes for the show’s development.

Tennant commented when asked about a potential return of Crowley and Aziraphale: “Unfortunately, it isn’t within our control.” Sheen followed up by saying, “If it were solely up to us, things might be different, but…” In a joking manner, he suggested that fans should hope for a large viewership of Season 2 so that their return becomes not just hopeful, but inevitable. He then playfully corrected himself, saying it would be ineffable if enough people watched, before clarifying it as inevitable instead.

We also asked the duo if there are any time periods they would want to explore in Season 3.

Sheen replied, “Indeed, there are many options available, aren’t there?” Tennant added. “We enjoy exploring various time periods,” Sheen continued, “as it’s not only entertaining due to the costume aspect, but also because it reveals glimpses of their relationships and character development.” They found it delightful to delve into these scenes as well.

Tennant added, “It could be fun to imagine ’80s Aziraphale and Crowley. If we’re dressing up, I think I’d go as a Michael Douglas-style Gordon Gekko character, and you, Sheen, might resemble the British pop group Haircut 100.”

Additionally, we proposed the idea of Flock of Seagulls, an ’80s band known for their distinctive hairstyles. Sheen commented that Tennant would fit the bill, given his Flock of Seagulls-style haircut.

Good Omens Season 2 is now streaming on Prime.
