Grace Drops Shocking Twist Revealing Dark Secrets Behind Sandy’s Disappearance!

*Warning: Contains major spoilers for Grace season 5 episode 3*

Following what appeared to be the conclusion of Roy’s wife Sandy’s storyline in the gripping finale of season 4, the latest episode of Grace’s fifth season offers new insights into her mysterious disappearance and delivers a shocking plot twist that significantly impacts a major character.

At roughly the halfway mark, the episode became particularly significant as suspicions arose that Brad Morrison’s Nick Nicholl, a veteran member of Roy’s team, might be acting dishonestly.

Indications suggested that Nick, who seemed suspicious with his furtive actions and the submission of a tampered document, might have been secretly collaborating with the Benchdale Organized Crime Group (OCG) all along, as an undisclosed police officer had received a firearm believed to be missing from a crime scene.

Under pressure, Nick eventually confided in Roy that his odd behavior recently was due to his wife forcing him out of their home and her intentions to relocate with their son.

Initially, Roy doubted his words, and Nick faced a temporary suspension while they investigated the matter. Yet, it didn’t take long to realize there was more at play, and Nick seemed to have been falsely accused.

In truth, it was ACC Cassian Pewe who had been hindering the probe, and he was secretly on the side of Benchdale Organized Crime Group (OCG), aiding them in concealing their wrongdoings.

In the second episode of the series, Cassian made his debut. Originally portrayed by James D’Arcy, he was subsequently acted by Sam Hoare.

Cassian and Roy shared a complicated past, with Cassian once falsely accusing Roy of murdering Sandy, a crime he claimed Roy had committed. Yet, they have managed to collaborate efficiently in their more recent endeavors.

During the entire show, Cassian carried out several killings, not just for self-protection or that of his group, but also to conceal their deeds. Additionally, he attempted to delete evidence, leaving a trail of deceit. However, the team succeeded in recovering some documents, which served as proof of his wrongdoing.

Upon my encounter with Roy, I found myself in custody shortly thereafter. Prior to their interrogation of me, Glenn shared with Roy an intriguing piece of information: Cassian had erased a CCTV recording that showed him spotting Sandy on the street earlier – a fact he’d known about her survival long before Roy did.

In response to Roy’s questioning, Cassian confessed about his past involvement. Specifically, he admitted that he had a romantic relationship with Sandy prior to her vanishing. This was because Roy wasn’t available or attentive towards her.

Sandy found herself heavily in debt due to gambling, with a staggering sum of £200,000 owed to the Benchdale Organized Crime Group. A chilling plot was formed to eliminate both Sandy and her unborn child. Cassian, who had prior knowledge about Sandy’s pregnancy as well as Bruno, disclosed this information to others before Roy became aware of it.

Sandy, suspecting she couldn’t trust Roy, was given a fresh identity by Cassian and vanished, ensuring the gang wouldn’t locate her. Although she pledged to inform Cassian once she was secure, she didn’t. This is why Cassian went after Roy for what he thought was her murder; he felt that Roy might have been capable of killing her if she had learned the truth and managed to find her.

After Sandy’s passing at the end of season 4, the remaining gang learned about her outstanding debt. With no one else available, Cassian took on the responsibility and began working for them. Initially, this arrangement was intended as a temporary solution to prevent harm coming to him, but it eventually evolved into more permanent obligations.

Yet, upon learning that one of his victims, Hannah, was planning to reveal his corrupt activities, he believed it necessary to take her life.

The surprising development has undoubtedly left Roy and the team in shock. Who steps up as head of ACC now that Cassian appears to be heading to prison? Will they encounter more repercussions for his deeds? And is this the last we’ll hear about Sandy and the mystery surrounding her disappearance?

Having secured a sixth season, it’s quite likely that we will uncover solutions to these queries, along with many others.
