The Royal Family are mourning a valued service member.
It has been confirmed by his sons that Graham “Crackers” Craker, who once provided security for both Princes Harry and William during the time of Princess Diana’s passing, has sadly passed away at the age of 77.
According to the BBC, Craker’s sons announced his passing on social media, expressing him as an extraordinary individual who lived a life of remarkable selflessness.
For a period of fifteen years following his retirement from the Metropolitan Police in 2001 after serving for thirty-five years, Craker had the role of protecting the royal family. He was present during a fateful moment in 1997 when Harry, only twelve at the time, and William, aged fifteen, learned about their mother’s passing at Balmoral. In an interview with The New York Post in 2017, Craker described this news as being incredibly hard to accept.
“From there on,” he added, “it’s the policeman’s instinct to assess the situation and carry on.”
During Diana’s funeral, Craker strolled alongside the two princes, following Diana’s coffin. This is a detail that Prince Harry shared in his book, “Spare”.
In his writing, Harry stated that the driver repeatedly stopped because Graham, our beloved bodyguard, needed to clean the flowers from the windshield. Graham was the one we all grew fond of, including myself and Willy.
He added, “We always called him Crackers, as in Graham Crackers. We thought it was hysterical.”
Cracker was additionally present in the funeral vehicle escorting Diana’s remains to Althorp Manor, her ancestral home, where she rests. Along the route, the procession passed by King Charles, Prince Harry, and Prince William.
It was a memory that always stuck with the bodyguard two decades later.
According to Craker, I was positioned at the back of the hearse when William glanced up and signaled recognition towards me. In response, I returned his gaze and gave a nod. It was reassuring to William that I was accompanying his mother during her last trip. (The New York Post)
After the demise of Craker, the Southern Maltings arts center in East Hertfordshire honored him by paying a heartfelt tribute, as he had dedicated part of his post-military life volunteering there.
On Facebook, Southern Maltings stated on April 3rd: “To those closest to him, Graham was both father and grandfather. To us, however, he was an esteemed friend and collaborator. His unique status – being the sole volunteer with a set of keys to the building – speaks volumes about the trust and respect he commanded.
The organization stated, “For those among us who participated in events, he will be fondly remembered for his laughter, his kindness, and his selfless desire to aid others. From serving in the police force, being part of a security team, an influential member of Rotary, and eventually a dedicated volunteer at Southern Maltings, countless individuals are going to mourn our very own James Bond-like figure.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for Harry and William for comment but has not yet heard back.
On March 12th, Hugh Grosvenor, the godson of King Charles III, along with his spouse Olivia Grosvenor, made an announcement. They shared that they are expecting their initial child together.
Or, more casually:
Hugh Grosvenor and his partner Olivia Grosvenor revealed on March 12th that they’re having their first baby – King Charles III’s godson and his wife!
Both options maintain the same information but are written in a different style.
According to a representative, the duchess is due to give birth this coming summer. The couple are overjoyed by the news and are eagerly anticipating beginning their family life together.
Frederick, the child of Prince Robert and his spouse Julie, passed away on March 1 at the age of 22, following a fight against Mitochondrial Disease related to PolG, a seldom seen genetic condition.
In a statement, Robert expressed that Frederik is like a Superhero to him and our entire family, as well as countless friends. This is largely due to his PolG Foundation, which has touched the lives of many people around the world. One of Frederik’s superpowers was his capacity to inspire others and lead by example.
On January 22, 2022, the Duke of Sussex came to an agreement with News Group Newspapers (the proprietors of The Sun and the defunct News of the World) following a lawsuit he filed in 2019. This legal action was taken against the organization due to accusations that their journalists and private investigators had illegally gathered information about the royal family.
The agreement required the company to provide “significant compensation” and also offer a “complete and unreserved apology,” in addition to openly admitting “the wide-ranging media attention and significant invasion into Harry’s personal life, as well as that of Princess Diana of Wales,” according to NBC News.
On January 14, it was announced by the Princess of Wales that she has achieved remission following her full course of cancer treatment.
She expressed her sense of relief at being in remission and continued to prioritize recovery, as shared in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) on January 14. It’s well understood that for those who have gone through a cancer diagnosis, it takes time to adapt to this new way of life.
She went on to express her anticipation, saying, “I’m excited about what the coming year holds for me.” Or alternatively, “She further expressed enthusiasm, stating, ‘The year ahead promises to be exciting.’
Back in 2015, I, a humble admirer, was overjoyed when I brought home my precious rescue beagle. Fast forward to 2021, and as an ardent fan of the Duchess of Sussex, I can’t help but feel her pain as she grapples with the loss of this beloved companion, a bond shared even before she met Prince Harry.
On Instagram, she posted on January 7th, “I’ve shed so many tears I can’t even count anymore – the kind that lead you to hop into the shower with a foolish belief that the water streaming down your face will miraculously erase them, or make you believe they don’t exist. Yet, they do. And it’s alright to feel this way too.
Meghan expressed gratitude for all the years of selfless love, calling him ‘sweet Guy’. She mentioned that he had enriched her life in ways that he may not be aware of.
In a tragic turn of events, I found myself among the unfortunate victims of the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans, as I am the stepson of Alexandra Pettifer, who was once the beloved nanny to Princes William and Harry, also recognized by her nickname Tiggy Legge-Bourke.
William expressed his shock and sadness over Ed Pettifer’s tragic demise in a message on Kate Middleton’s Instagram Stories, stating January 4th. His sentiments are with the Pettifier family and everyone else affected by this terrible incident.
As an over-the-moon admirer, I couldn’t contain my excitement when Meghan Markle, the former Suits star who mysteriously vanished from her personal social media accounts just before her 2018 nuptials with Prince Harry, finally unveiled her standalone Instagram account on New Year’s Day.
One day after, it was revealed that she would launch a fresh Netflix series called “With Love, Meghan“. As described in a press statement, the show aims to reinvent the format of lifestyle programming by merging instructional tips with heartfelt discussions between friends, both familiar and new.
