As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve grown fond of the Gran Turismo series for its realistic racing simulations and meticulously crafted cars. So, when Polyphony Digital announced Update 1.49 for Gran Turismo 7, I was beyond excited!
Over the past few years, Gran Turismo 7, which was initially launched, has seen frequent enhancements from its developers at Polyphony Digital. Despite their likely shift towards new projects in the future, they continue to roll out updates for this popular racing game. Recently, they unveiled Update 1.49, a more significant update compared to recent ones. This latest release brings several new vehicles into the game and undergoes a comprehensive revision of the physics simulation, resulting in slight alterations to how cars maneuver.
In simpler terms, the recent physics upgrade focuses on how cars handle suspension and a feature called the “tire behavior system” by Polyphony. This technical lingo can be hard to understand if you’re not into cars, but it essentially means that weight will transfer more naturally during turns, making driving feel more authentic. Additionally, this update promises more accurate tire heating and wear effects, resulting in more dynamic and realistic car movements.
GT7 brings significant improvements affecting every car’s performance, yet fans are eagerly anticipating the new vehicles they’ll soon have a chance to drive. Notably, Michelin tires are now available, expanding the tire selection. This month, Polyphony Digital introduces six new cars: BMW M3 (1997), Ferrari 430 Scuderia (2007), Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 (2008), RUF RGT 4.2 (2016), and Subaru Impreza Rally Car (1998). Players are excited about all of them, especially the iconic Ferrari Gallardo with its powerful V10 engine.
As a devoted gamer of Gran Turismo 7, I’m thrilled to share that an exciting new addition is on its way! In the first person, it feels like:
As a longtime fan of racing games, I’m thrilled to share that I can now get my hands on “Gran Turismo 7” which is available as of today on PlayStation platforms. Exciting times ahead! And if that’s not enough good news, Update 1.49 is coming our way later tonight at approximately 11:00 PM PT. Now, I know some of us might be night owls and choose to download it right away. But for those who prefer their beauty sleep, don’t worry – the update is free! So just make sure it’s downloaded by the time you wake up on July 25th. Happy gaming!
