This is fantastic news for car enthusiasts who can enjoy this top-tier PlayStation racing game, considered one of the best simulators, from the comfort of their homes. The latest update, known as “Update 1.55,” includes four new cars, three new events, and various other enhancements to keep the game feeling fresh.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got to say that the latest update for Gran Turismo 7 is revving up my engines! This update brings four fresh rides to the track: the Gran Turismo F3500-A, the classic Honda Civic Si Extra from ’87, the future-forward Hyundai IONIQ 5 N from ’24, and the agile Toyota C-HR S from ’18. The new racing grounds include Kyoto Driving Park, Sardegna, and Autódromo de Interlagos. In terms of fresh additions, this update introduces a new Extra Menu, expands the Scapes option, and allows for Gran Turismo Sophy on Autódromo de Interlagos and Mount Panorama Circuit.

Main Features
1. Four new vehicles have been added: Gran Turismo F3500-A, Honda Civic Si Extra (EF) ’87 (previously sold at the Used Cars dealership), Hyundai IONIQ 5 N ’24, Toyota C-HR S ’18
2. The Gran Turismo Sophy mode has been introduced for the following tracks: Autódromo de Interlagos, Mount Panorama. This feature is exclusive to the PS5 version of Gran Turismo 7.
3. New events have been added to World Circuits: Autódromo de Interlagos (World Touring Car 600), Sardegna – Road Track (Japanese FF Challenge 450), Kyoto Driving Park (Sunday Cup). Additional events include: Sardinia – Road Track (Alfa Romeo GTAm ’72), Suzuka East Course (Super Taikyu Series 6 Hour Race ’21).
4. Extra Menu No.43: Collection: Group C has been added, requiring Collector Level 48 to access.
5. Museum entries for the following brands have been added: AMG, MINI.
6. Car Maintenance & Service is now available, with Engine Swaps unlocked at Collector Level 50 for the following cars: Alpine A110 1600S ’72, Citroën DS 21 Pallas ’70, Honda Civic Si Extra (EF) ’87, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR ’04, Porsche 356 A/1500 GS GT Carrera Speedster ’56, Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) ’22, Renault R5 Turbo ’80, Renault R8 Gordini ’66, Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi ’04.

Other Improvements and Adjustments
1. Revised Physics Simulation Model:
– The suspension system’s behavioral model has been fine-tuned to minimize abrupt responses when driving over bumps or uneven surfaces.
– Improvements have been made to the tire physics simulation, focusing on load dependency during cornering and reducing grip loss on wet racing lines. Also, the impact of dirty tires from off-track excursions has lessened, with quicker recovery of grip upon returning to the track.
– Modifications have been applied to the performance of the following vehicles: Toyota Aqua S ’11 and Toyota Prius G ’09.
– Adjustments have been made to the handling characteristics for certain cars, including default aerodynamic settings for Gr.1 cars and race cars, as well as suspension and differential settings for some road cars.
– Performance Points (PP) for specific vehicles have been updated.
– The wireless controller’s steering algorithm has received an upgrade, enhancing overall handling performance when using analog sticks or the directional pad.
– Improvements have been made to the behavior of the controller for steering wheels, with better force feedback feeling and adjusted torque settings for formula cars.
– The intervention of the following driving assists has been optimized: Traction Control (TCS) and Corner Braking Control for ABS (anti-lock brakes).
2. World Circuits:
– Difficulty levels have been adjusted for the following race events: Red Bull Ring, Suzuka Circuit, and Dragon Trail Seaside.
3. License Centre:
– Target times and demonstration replays have been updated for all License events, with rankings boards being reset.
4. Missions:
– Rankings boards have been reset.
5. Sport:
– The maximum Driver Rating (DR) limit has been increased.
6. Cars:
– Tire sticker lineups have been changed for the following vehicles: Dallara SF23 Super Formula / Honda ’23 and Dallara SF23 Super Formula / Toyota ’23.
7. Localization:
– Various localization issues have been addressed.
8. Others:
– Several other miscellaneous issues have been resolved.
