On July 4th, the gaming industry can expect the launch of the grappling hook action-adventure game GRAPPIN, developed by POLYLABO based in Tokyo, as confirmed by their recent announcement.
Initially, GRAPPIN debuted on PC through Steam on March 24th, 2023. Subsequently, it became available for both the Xbox Series and Xbox One platforms on June 6th, 2024.
Here is an overview of the game, via POLYLABO:
Following a challenging morning rise, you happen upon the Grasp – a versatile tool functioning like a grappling hook.
Your task is challenging yet clear-cut: Retrieve the Grip and bring it back to the Peak Temple, situated on the tallest mountain. You’ll encounter numerous hazards along the way and experience the unforgiving wilderness, from a scorching hot lava chamber hidden within the mountain depths, to a treacherous ridge teeming with perils.
On your way to the top, find the Relics to unravel the mystery surrounding the Grip.
On the PlayStation 5, GRAPPIN is designed to offer a realistic experience through its haptic feedback feature. This sensation, along with the built-in speaker sounds, allows the DualSense controller to simulate each grapple and impact, making you feel as if you’re truly experiencing it.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to announce an innovative addition to our gameplay experience – a motion-sensor aim mechanism! Now, with the DualSense controller, you can effortlessly fine-tune your hook shots by simply moving the controller. This feature not only heightens the immersive quality of the game but also boosts precision, making every gaming moment more engaging and realistic.
