Fans of Disney, particularly those who adore the Mystery Shack crew and Duckburg citizens, have been eagerly anticipating possible future appearances of these characters in potential sequels. However, what some may not realize is that a fresh, official crossover has emerged, merging these two worlds. Through a new Disney animated series, Grunkle Stan and Scrooge McDuck find themselves competing for the same treasure. Remarkably, the voice actors of both characters have come back to bring this legendary crossover to life. Alex Hirsch and David Tennant reprise their roles in this crossover that might have gone unnoticed, but it’s available for viewing right now.
Originally, there were two popular animated shows – “Duck Tales” which was rebooted in 2017 and had the nephews Hughie, Dewey, and Louie living with their uncle Scrooge. Famous actors like David Tennant, Danny Pudi, and Ben Schwartz starred in this series that ran for three seasons. On the other hand, “Gravity Falls” gained just as much recognition, if not more. It had two seasons and ended in 2016 but continues to be popular due to its amusing characters and intriguing mysteries. Remarkably, these two shows are now crossing over, something we wouldn’t have thought possible initially.

Gravity Falls x Duck Tales: Enter The Chibiverse
If you’re unfamiliar with the “Chibiverse,” it refers to a free animated series that can be streamed on Disney Now’s website. Since its debut in 2022, this series has been a unique blend, where characters from various popular Disney franchises share the same narrative. For instance, you might find episodes combining shows like “Phineas and Ferb,” “Amphibia,” “Big City Greens,” “Kim Possible,” “The Owl House,” and even “Gargoyles” under one roof.
In the initial episode of the third season of Chibiverse, Grunkle Stan gathers together some familiar friends with the aim of acquiring Scrooge McDuck’s riches. Playfully referring to his team as “Stan’s Dozen,” the elderly animated character sets the stage for a fun crossover featuring David Tennant and Alex Hirsch reprising their roles as Scrooge McDuck and Grunkle Stan respectively. Although it may not involve the primary universes merging, animation enthusiasts could be eagerly awaiting the return of these classic cartoon characters. Gravity Falls Revival
Although Duck Tales won’t be getting any new seasons, there might be a renewal for Gravity Falls. In 2024, a Disney executive hinted at discussions for a Gravity Falls revival, suggesting the possibility of revisiting characters like Dipper, Mabel, and Grunkle Stan. The executive mentioned, “We’re in talks with Alex [Hirsch]. He’s working on a book with Disney about his project. We’re also creating some shorts. So, it’s not impossible.
