The Great British Bake Off 2024 judges

The Bake Off competition wouldn’t hold the same charm without our knowledgeable judges, as Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are coming back again.

In an interview with The Mirror, Leith admitted she was close to quitting Bake Off.

She mentioned that she was in a newly-moved house and barely noticed the garden, barely interacted with her family, and didn’t take a summer vacation.

However, she mentioned that the production team managed to convince her to remain involved. “In essence, I achieved my goal of reducing my workload. I am incredibly thankful to Love Production for their understanding and flexibility.

The Great British Bake Off 2024 hosts

The dynamic pair, Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, will be back on board to keep us updated and amused during the events that unfold.

Stepping into the role following Matt Lucas’ departure, here I am – your humble movie critic – embarking on my second season as a host, and let me tell you, it’s been quite an experience! In a recent chat with TopMob magazine, I couldn’t help but express my admiration for the exceptional standard of our productions this year. The bar has been set incredibly high, making me empathize deeply with our esteemed judges as they face the challenging task of critiquing such outstanding performances.

In the meantime, Fielding remarked, “We have three exceptionally inventive bakers. Any one of them had a good chance of taking the prize.

Who won The Great British Bake Off 2023?

As a movie enthusiast, I might rephrase it like this: In the grand finale of the baking competition, yours truly, Matty Edgell from Peterborough, triumphed over fellow contenders Dan Hunter and Josh Smalley with my pièce de résistance – a magnificent three-tiered cake that was nothing short of a cinematic celebration!

Hollywood raved about Edgell’s cake, saying it was “simply divine”. They went on to express that “that particular chocolate cake ranks among the finest chocolate cakes I’ve tasted in a very, very long while.

In the meantime, another judge expressed their sentiments about the victory: “He’s always been a joy to be around, full of smiles and enthusiasm. He absorbed every bit of knowledge we shared, and was genuinely enjoying the experience.

Edgell, who was considered a longshot during his Bake Off experience, expressed at that moment: “I’m at a loss for words; people always suggested I should participate in Bake Off, and I dismissed it as a casual remark. I never imagined being on the program, let alone becoming its champion!

The Great British Bake starts on Tuesday 24th September at 8pm on Channel 4 and All4.
