Green Day Teams Up With Keurig to Celebrate American Idiot's 20th Anniversary With New Brewer, Coffee Kit

As a lifelong Green Day enthusiast who grew up on their rebellious punk rock tunes, I can’t help but feel my heart pounding with excitement at the news of this fantastic collaboration between my beloved band and Keurig. The American Idiot-themed limited edition brewer kit is more than just a coffee maker; it’s a piece of cultural history that brings together two of my greatest passions – music and coffee.

As a coffee enthusiast and long-time fan of Green Day, I am beyond excited about the latest collaboration between the iconic punk rock band and Keurig. Having grown up listening to “American Idiot” on repeat, it brings me great joy to know that this classic album is turning 20 this year. The fact that Green Day is teaming up with a brand like Keurig to create a limited-edition brewer kit is the perfect way to celebrate such a milestone.

Green Day has dabbled in the coffee world before, and they’ve been brewing up success since their initial foray into the market with Oakland Coffee in 2015. Now, they’ve got Punk Bunny Coffee on the scene, offering organic, Fair Trade Certified blends. Earlier this year, Punk Bunny Coffee teamed up with Keurig Dr. Pepper to become a part of the popular Keurig K-Cup pod system.

I, Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day, am hitting the road for a summer-long celebration of “American Idiot” turning 20! Our tour buses and backstage areas are brimming with our very first signature coffee brewer. Excitingly, it’s now ready to be unveiled, and we can hardly wait to share it with you all – we hope you’ll love it just as much as we do!

Becky Opdyke, Senior Vice President at Keurig Dr Pepper, finds Green Day’s dedication to both music and coffee truly remarkable. Having collaborated with them on the Punk Bunny project, she was motivated to create a brewer that reflects their zest and honors one of their major achievements. They’re thrilled to bring a piece of the band directly into fans’ kitchens.

The custom brewer is inspired by American Idiot’s iconic album artwork and beloved lyrics and is described as embodying a piece of cultural phenomenon for music and coffee lovers alike. As for the coffee, fans are able to enjoy their favorite Punk Bunny Coffee blends over ice, which makes it a perfect option for not only lovers of hot coffee, but iced coffees as well. Fans wanting to get their hands on the limited-edition kit just need to go here. The kit goes on sale August 20th and sells for $159.99.
