It turns out that the actress who plays a significant role in Grey’s Anatomy shared an interesting tidbit – she tried out for the part of Kate Bohr during the third season of the popular HBO series. Although Leslie Bibb eventually took on the character, Jessica was thrilled about the prospect, regardless.

Jessica shared on the April 9 episode of iHeartRadio’s Call It What It Is podcast that she tried out for Leslie Bibb’s role. Being a big admirer of the show, she was filled with joy and anticipation.

She went on saying, “It’s always exciting to arrange an audition and watch it unfold, then see it succeed,” she added, “because what’s astonishingly unique and wild about the casting process – and I suppose this isn’t surprising – we’re all uniquely distinct. We each have a unique perspective on it.

As soon as the season was released, the 48-year-old couldn’t resist expressing her enthusiasm for Leslie’s acting—even if it didn’t quite match her mental picture when reading the script.

Jessica recounted, “When I watched Leslie, I exclaimed, ‘Wow!’ She truly captivated me, and I found her extraordinary.

Meanwhile, when Leslie, aged 51, was away in Thailand shooting the series, her partner Sam Rockwell, whom she’s been with since 2007, unexpectedly became involved in the production too. He made a cameo appearance in one of the show’s episodes.

In her latest interview with Entertainment Weekly, Leslie stated, “Dave Bernad approached me while I was exercising on a treadmill, and he mentioned, ‘We’re planning to propose this to Sam.’

Initially, the actress from Palm Royale had reservations about whether the Academy Award winner would indeed show interest.

Speaking from my perspective as a lifestyle advisor, I found myself remarking, “Sam is as unpredictable as a wild stag,” expressing my uncertainty over his next move. He’s currently involved in a film project in South Africa and values his preparation time immensely. Needless to say, he was quite apprehensive about ensuring that prep period went smoothly.

Leslie made it clear to “White Lotus” creator Mike White that she wouldn’t be upset if he declined her offer. However, eventually, Sam consented to travel to Thailand and act alongside Walton Goggins, who played Rick in the show.

The actress from Iron Man found their time on set delightful. She remarked, ‘Although we didn’t share any scenes, he completed all his work in just eight days. Meanwhile, we were there for six months. It’s safe to say that Sam didn’t have the same intensity of experience in those eight days. He had a taste of The White Lotus-like experience, but it’s great to have something to discuss together,'” she added.

She also mentioned that he’s an exceptional performer. It’s fortunate we have him on board, and I believe he brought the character to life in a remarkable way. Mike was thrilled about his addition as well.
