It seemed, for a short while earlier today, that a PlayStation 5 trophy collector had stumbled upon hints of a Microsoft Flight Simulator adaptation. A fresh list of trophies was detected by PSN Profiles labeled as “Flight Simulator 2025,” leading some to speculate about the imminent arrival of the rumored Xbox port on PlayStation 5.

View Urgent ForecastIt’s possible that, following hints from reliable sources, games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, Halo, and Gears of War could potentially appear on PlayStation 5 by the end of this year. However, what was discovered instead was another instance of the AI-created duplicates known as “Eslop,” which have been prevalent on the PS Store for a while now.
2025’s Flight Simulator on the PS Store shows Grizzly Games Limited as the developer, but it seems this isn’t accurate according to a statement from Paul Schnepf, one of the two developers at Grizzly Games. He mentioned that their name and logo are being used unlawfully in the listing.
Moreover, they appear to embody the very antithesis of our principles and what we strive to offer in the gaming community,” Schnepf added. “Regrettably, as a small, two-person indie team, our legal resources are limited. However, I strongly advocate for measures to prevent such practices, given that they’re not only affecting us but numerous other indie developers who lack the same legal might.
It seems that Flight Simulator 2025, which was posted on the PlayStation Store, might have been uploaded by a company disguising itself as another. Eurogamer investigated before receiving Schnepf’s statement and discovered a website called Grizzly-Games.com, filled with mobile games created using AI, but these links to the Google Play Store are broken or non-existent. It’s plausible that this listing originated from the questionable Grizzly-Games instead of the genuine one, responsible for Thronefall on the Nintendo Switch and PC.
It seems that last month, Sony seemed to have removed some AI-generated games from its digital store. However, the recent addition of Flight Simulator 2025 with AI art and a company trying to deceive by posing as someone else indicates that the issue of AI-produced content is far from resolved.
