The upcoming movie adaptation by Guillermo del Toro, as per the rating from the Motion Picture Association of America, provides an indication about the anticipated fear and excitement that the film will deliver to its audience.

The film features Oscar Isaac in the role of Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi as the monster created by Frankenstein, and Mia Goth portraying Victor’s fiancée, Elizabeth Lavenza. Although the plot details are scarce in this trailer, it is evident that the movie will carry on del Toro’s tradition of blending dark fantasy and horror, much like his past projects such as “Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Crimson Peak,” and “The Shape of Water.

For many decades now, Frankenstein has held a profound and enduring fascination for him. He’s frequently shared his desire to faithfully adapt the story, stating that the idea for this film has lingered in his thoughts since childhood, spanning half a century. It’s been a long-standing ambition of his to bring it to life on screen, an endeavor he’s pursued persistently for approximately 20 to 25 years. Among things eagerly anticipated by fans of ‘Frankenstein’ is undoubtedly Elordi’s portrayal of the monstrous character. Although viewers will have to wait until the movie release to truly see him, Isaac has hinted at the grim nature of his on-screen character’s creation, describing it as “heartbreaking”. Goth commented, “That was a tough job for him. He spent hours in makeup, but it was worth it because the makeup was fantastic.
