On March 24th, the playable character Venom from Guilty Gear: Strive will be available for purchase at a cost of $6.99 USD or 880 yen, as revealed by Arc System Works.
Here is an overview of the character, via the game’s official website:
Venom (voiced by Junichi Suwabe in Japanese, Howard Wang in English)
- Easy to Use: ★☆☆☆☆
He’s a man who’s essentially truthful to the core and finds it hard to deceive. His communication style carries an air of strictness, hinting at his preference for logic over emotions, yet beneath this facade lies a deep appreciation for feelings, empathy, and humility.
In their conflict against Bedman, it’s Venom, head of the Assassin’s Guild, who meets his apparent demise—to onlookers at least. Following Robo-Ky’s heroic intervention to save him, Venom seeks financial means for repairs by accepting any job offered, until Zato generously bestows upon him a store which he transforms into a bakery.
Through his new life as a baker, Venom learns of a new and unfamiliar “battle.”
He develops affection for the townsfolk who stand up against taking others’ lives, not driven by selfish ambition but honor, and vows to safeguard their battleground. And thus commences his fresh conflict: a baker during daylight hours, yet under cover of darkness, he becomes the enigmatic avenger known as “Phantom.
You can grab Guilty Gear: Strive right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or PC through Steam.
