Guilty Gear Strive Starter Guide Showcases Queen Dizzy’s Broken Kit

As a seasoned Guilty Gear veteran, with countless hours spent navigating the intricate world of this fighting game, I must admit my excitement is palpable upon learning about Queen Dizzy joining Strive’s roster! Her unique blend of ice and fire attacks, coupled with her powerful moveset, promises a fresh challenge for even the most skilled players.

Following the revelation that Queen Dizzy will be added to the Guilty Gear Strive lineup on October 31st, accompanied by a new balance update, Arc System Works has shared a Starter Guide video detailing her move set. This includes information about her elemental attacks and borderline overpowered abilities. You can watch it here below.

With Undyne and Necro at her side, Dizzy is able to launch attacks of ice and fire. Undyne instantly freezes enemies, making it simpler for Dizzy to deliver powerful strikes such as the screen-clearing Michael Sword. Yet, beware, as Undyne can also spread an icy floor across the stage, impacting both players’ movements.

Instead, one could say: Her most potent action might be the Wings of Light ability. Once triggered, it saps Dizzy’s Tension Gauge to inflict unavoidable damage. Given its immense power, it seems likely that a reduction in effectiveness (nerf) could occur sooner rather than later. Of course, you can activate and cancel the Wings of Light when the circumstance requires it.

In Season Pass 4, Queen Dizzy kicks off as the initial character, followed by Venom’s arrival at the start of 2025, then Unika in the springtime, and Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners in the summer season. Keep an eye out for more updates until then.
