Guilty Gear Strive – Team of 3 Open Beta Announced for July 25th to 29th

As a seasoned gamer with years of fighting game experience under my belt, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming open beta test of “Team of 3” in Guilty Gear Strive! The prospect of forming teams and battling against other squads is an intriguing new twist to the game.

Beginning on July 25th at 7 PM Pacific Daylight Time and continuing until July 29th at midnight, Arc System Works invites gamers to participate in a complimentary open beta for the Team of 3 feature in Guilty Gear Strive. All platforms are welcome, and every character on the roster, including DLC options, will be accessible during this event.

During the beta testing phase, having a subscription to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core will not be mandatory for accessing online gameplay. However, it’s important to note that a stable internet connection is essential for completing the tutorial and saving your progress within the game. Your save data won’t carry over between sessions, but you can still engage in Online Matches against other players. Team joining and opponent searching features are available, while inviting friends to join you is another option.

The developer explained the intricacies of 3v3 mode: When designating a Main player and Assists, the latter can employ various abilities based on their Skill Gauge. These abilities encompass healing, counterattacks, knocks, and even the playful act of tossing an afro in the air. Notably, these skills come with cooldown periods and distinct from Break-Ins, which are unique moves for each character capable of inflicting substantial damage.

As a gamer, I can bring in another teammate to help out in a match, but they have the option to accept or decline my tag-in request. When we’re both in, we can coordinate our attacks for a brief moment to take down an opponent. However, keep in mind that once my teammate has assisted me as the main player, they cannot become the main character again during that round. Our trio operates under one shared health bar, so utilizing skills, assists, and tags wisely is crucial for our survival and success in the game.

I’m excitedly looking forward to learning more about Team of 3, especially when we can expect its launch. You can currently play Guilty Gear Strive on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC. For those interested, be sure to explore the intriguing details of Season Pass 4. It brings new characters to the roster: Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and an exciting newcomer named Unika.

Starting on July 25 (PDT), we’ll be conducting an open beta test for the new “TEAM OF 3” mode! In this exciting gameplay setting, teams consisting of 3 players will face off against each other. #GGST #GuiltyGearStrive
