Hathaway’s Flash 2 Is Underway
During a recent Shochiku Anniversary Gala, Bandai Namco announced that they are currently working on “Hathaway’s Flash 2,” offering updates about the sequel after a significant period of silence. For those unaware, Shochiku Corporation has had a long-standing partnership with Bandai Namco Filmworks in producing and exhibiting their anime films in Japanese theaters. This event is a special milestone for Shochiku as it marks 130 years since the company’s establishment, dating back to 1895.
Although they didn’t specify an exact launch date, Shochiku announced that Hathaway’s Flash 2 is included in their 2025-2026 schedule, suggesting the movie will be out as soon as next year and possibly even this year if we’re lucky. Given that the Gundam series is preparing for its 45th and 50th anniversaries, it’s an exciting time to be a fan of mecha!
