Enthusiasts are expressing their thoughts on the fresh animation for the mobile game SD Gundam G Generation Eternal, specifically the new release of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Recollection. According to data shared by Oricon, players have been expressing their amazement at the abundance of fresh material. It seems that there is approximately enough new footage for one or two OVA episodes. The Seed Recollection animation includes mostly newly created sequences accompanied by dialogue from the original voice actors of the anime. This production serves as a link between the initial Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series and its successor, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny.
I’ve recently found myself immersed in the world of “SD Gundam G Generation Eternal,” a captivating addition to the SD Gundam series – a collection of games that revolves around chibi versions of the iconic Gundams. As an observer, I can tell you it’s a strategy RPG where you control these miniature giants, engaging in grid-based battles against rival mechas. Occasionally, animated cutscenes will unfold, offering a treat for fans who opt to explore the “Seed Recollection” Stage, which brings the latest animation from the “Seed” series to life. Best of all, this game is accessible globally, including in the United States, and can be easily downloaded onto various mobile devices via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
What Is Gundam Seed Recollection About?
In a refreshing revisit, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Recollection reunites many characters from the initial Gundam Seed series, with Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala taking center stage once more. This sequel unfolds during the two-year period following the original anime, after a peace treaty had been established between Coordinators (genetically enhanced humans) and Naturals (non-enhanced humans). The Archangel’s crew, led by Kira, chose to stay impartial, opting not to support either side in their ongoing conflict but instead work towards resolving it.
In the time prior to the storyline of “Destiny” as depicted in “Gundam Seed Recollection,” Kira and his former adversary-turned-ally Athrun find themselves once more embroiled in a fresh conflict, one that unfolds before “Destiny.” Throughout these events, they each acquire new mobile suits. Kira initially pilots the Dragoon Strike Gundam, a variant of the original Strike Gundam, but later switches to piloting the Freedom Gundam in “Gundam Seed,” eventually obtaining the Strike Freedom Gundam in “Destiny.
In the series, “Seed Recollection“, Athrun shifts from his usual preference of piloting mobile suits, and instead pilots a modified version of the Murasama. Unlike his other mobile suits, such as Aegis, Justice, Savior, and Infinite Justice, which have a distinct dark pink and black color scheme, this new Murasama is grey in the gameplay trailer for “SD Gundam G Generation Eternal“. Additionally, players can also try out the Dragoon Strike Gundam alongside Athrun’s newly piloted Murasama. The release date for “Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Recollection” in this game was on April 30th, 2025.
