Guns n’ Roses' Slash Shares His 25-Year-Old Stepdaughter Has Died

As a dedicated fan of Slash and his music, I can only imagine the depth of grief he must be feeling right now following the tragic loss of his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight. The news came as a shock to many, including myself, when Slash took to Instagram to announce her passing on July 21, 2024.

Slash is sharing his grief.

Guns n’ Roses guitarist revealed that his girlfriend of nine years, Meegan Hodges, lost her daughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, on July 19. She was just 25 years old.

“On Instagram, Slash (Saul Hudson), posted on July 21, 2024, about the passing of Lucy-Bleu Knight (born December 6, 1998). She was the cherished daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter to Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister to Scarlet Knight, and stepsister to London and Cash Hudson. This sad event took place in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.”

On July 21, the musician asked for privacy for his family during a challenging time after cancelling several shows on his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour unexpectedly.

“Lucy-Bleu was an artist with great skill, a fervent dreamer, and a delightful, endearing spirit,” the family added. They kindly ask for seclusion during their mourning period and prefer that media conjecture be kept to a minimum.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: After catching wind of the latest news about the iconic musician, I was touched to see a flood of heartfelt messages from devoted fans and cherished friends in the comment section.

Susan Holmes McKagan, married to Duff McKagan of Slash’s band since 1999, expressed her deepest sympathies and condolences in the following manner: “Words fall short in conveying our heartfelt sorrow.”

The couple’s daughter, Grace McKagan also added, “I love you guys.”

Slash will resume his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour in Toronto, Canada July 28.
