Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s daughter, Aurora Rainer Urker, is deeply cherished without reserve by a woman who plays the role of a fairy godmother.
In terms of nurturing her initial child with partner Ken Urker, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star always had company. In fact, she was surrounded by a wealth of assistance from friends and relatives, such as her half-sister Mia Blanchard.
Gypsy shared with TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi during their joint interview that everyone has been extremely cooperative. She mentioned that her sister recently graduated from nursing school and specializes in labor and delivery, making her knowledgeable about infants. Actually, the couple, who became parents to Aurora last December, following Gypsy’s early discharge from prison where she had been imprisoned for her part in the 2015 murder of her mom, Dee Dee Blanchard, later shared that Mia plays a unique and significant role in their daughter’s life. This role surpasses the typical relationship of an aunt.
“She’s also Auroras godmother,” Ken noted, “so we have a lot of that family support to help.”
How have they been managing their new parental responsibilities? They’ve shared their intention to adopt a nurturing style of parenting that strikes a balance between providing protection and avoiding excessive over-protection.
In this process, they intend for her to experience the world fully and live life boldly, as Gypsy put it. Moreover, she will never be alone, as we, the family, will always be there – not only us, but also our parents, siblings, extended relatives, and everyone who surrounds us.
She mentioned that we have a large network of people supporting us, and I believe that Aurora will live an exceptional life as she grows. All we need to do is give her the space to be true to herself.
However, despite having their village for support, there are inherent challenges that come with bringing up a child under the public spotlight.
As a die-hard fan, I feel compelled to say this: Let’s forget about the noise online about my family for a moment, and instead focus squarely on the intricate dynamics within our clan. Remember, it’s not just about you and me – there’s a whole lot more going on behind the scenes!
She went on, ‘Our priority is safeguarding our child, and the additional strain of managing parental decisions under public scrutiny only adds to that.’
Despite being quite new to motherhood at just a few months in, the 33-year-old woman has already encountered some difficulties and established strong limits to ensure the wellbeing of her family.
In the initial stages after her birth, there was an ongoing effort by many to capture her image using various methods, as Gypsy reminisced. However, we had made it clear a long time ago that we wouldn’t be sharing her face on social media platforms. This decision was met with some people saying, ‘Show her, show her.’ But I, as her mother, felt that our choice should be respected, and her privacy maintained.

As an ardent admirer looking back, I can confidently say that I sensed Ken Urker was special, perhaps even the day we first crossed paths in 2017. This realization came amidst my own challenging journey, serving a decade-long prison sentence following my guilty plea for my part in the tragic death of my mom, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2015.
Despite Gypsy being in prison since 2018, the couple still found a way to celebrate their engagement with a joyful ambiance.
They split up in 2019 but, as Gypsy noted, fate would come back to find them…
In 2022, Gypsy wed teacher Ryan Anderson, but their union lasted under two years before she initiated a divorce. By the spring of 2024, Gypsy had reconnected with her former partner, Ken.
On April 30, she shared with TMZ that we’re thriving in our relationship and enjoying this moment. We acknowledge there may be challenges down the line, but we’re eagerly looking forward to what the future holds.
Cloudy skies couldn’t put a damper on the rekindled pair’s mood.

Gypsy Rose recently posted a charming collection of memories featuring herself and Ken, just a few weeks prior to announcing that they were expecting their first baby together.
She noted that their baby is due in January 2025.

The parents-to-be take a trip to California, including Marina Del Rey, that October.
Moreover, Gypsy mentioned on Instagram that the sight of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge was truly awe-inspiring. Yet, she emphasized that the experience was not just memorable due to the view, but also because of the company she kept.
