Hailee Steinfeld Reveals Which X-Men Power She Wishes She Had in Real Life!

In a recent episode of First We Feast’s Hot Ones Versus, I (Hailee Steinfeld) shared that if given superpowers, I would choose those similar to the X-Men characters. Known for playing Kate Bishop in Marvel’s Hawkeye, this admission came while competing against Michael B. Jordan on the popular spicy food challenge show. Both of us are currently promoting our upcoming horror film Sinners, using this competitive eating platform to connect with fans and discuss various aspects of our lives. During one of the show’s signature rounds, where contestants need to guess facts about each other or face eating progressively spicy chicken wings, I disclosed this intriguing detail.

In the contest, Jordan was asked to determine which superpower Sienna Miller desired in reality. However, the star of “Creed” wrongly assumed it was “time travel,” causing his defeat when she disclosed her true choice was “mind reading.” Following his defeat, Jordan humorously remarked, “That would be useful now,” implying that telepathic skills would give him an upper hand in their competition.

Steinfeld’s longing for telepathic powers is dramatically different from the character Kate Bishop she plays in the MCU, who depends solely on her exceptional archery skills and fighting expertise instead of supernatural abilities. Ever since her debut in the 2021 Disney+ series ‘Hawkeye’, Steinfeld has embodied a heroine who follows Clint Barton (portrayed by Jeremy Renner), highlighting the human aspect of heroism amidst a universe teeming with gods, enhanced humans, and cosmic entities. The actress has earned adoration from fans for her portrayal of the resolute archer, who eventually takes on the Hawkeye title, placing her among the upcoming Marvel superheroes alongside figures like Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez).

The MCU Will Soon Feature Multiple Telepaths

In a recent announcement from Marvel Studios, it’s been confirmed that Patrick Stewart will once again play Professor Charles Xavier in the upcoming movie “Avengers: Doomsday.” This cast update also includes Ian McKellen returning as Magneto, along with Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique. This move significantly increases the presence of the X-Men within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following Stewart’s brief role in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Besides the veterans signing up for “Avengers: Doomsday”, it appears that Marvel Studios is actively pursuing casting choices for their standalone X-Men production. Reports suggest they’re interested in Harris Dickinson for Cyclops, Sadie Sink for Jean Grey, and Julia Butters for Kitty Pryde, although no agreements have been made yet. Kevin Feige, Marvel President, has hinted that the “Mutant era” within the MCU will truly take off after “Deadpool & Wolverine”, with plans to integrate both well-known and lesser-known mutant characters in future endeavors. So far, the studio has stayed true to its word, as the X-Men are set to play a significant role in the upcoming crossover film of the MCU.

Actor duo Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld are set to appear together in the upcoming movie “Sinners,” which is scheduled to premiere in theaters on April 18th.
