In fact, the Die Another Day actress recently gushed over working alongside the James Bond actor in their 2002 addition to the beloved franchise.
“Halle stated in an interview with Wired on August 15th, ‘Pierce will forever remain my Bond,’ referring to Pierce Brosnan, who portrayed James Bond for seven years. I’m a huge fan of Pierce Brosnan. He rekindled my trust in men during that film. There simply isn’t another person more courteous than Pierce Brosnan.”
Though she enthusiastically praised her co-star at every opportunity, Halle openly acknowledged that she had never harbored a desire to join the spy franchise.
She mentioned, “Bond wasn’t someone I had hoped to meet, but I’ve always admired the films. Being in one makes me feel like I’m connected to cinematic legacy. The movies are legendary; they’re a significant piece of our cultural history. It’s truly an honor to have been included in one, and especially with Pierce.”
Pierce, who debuted as James Bond in the 1995 film GoldenEye, played his last role in the series opposite Halle Berry in 2002. Now aged 71, he handed over the Bond role to Daniel Craig, who took on five films within the franchise before his departure following the 2021 release of No Time To Die.
However, Daniel’s character appeared in one more movie than his predecessor, but Pierce confessed that he might have preferred skipping the final installment.
In a 2022 conversation with GQ, Pierce shared, “I watched Skyfall and I also saw the most recent film, but I must admit, I’m not entirely convinced by the latter.”

Still, Pierce assured the film’s quality was of no fault of the Knives Out actor.
“Daniel always gives of his heart,” he added. “Very courageous. Very strong.”
Regarding who might play the famous character next, some names such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Miles Teller have surfaced, but he, the previous agent, has chosen not to share his thoughts on the matter.
“Pierce remained indifferent,” he went on. “I’m curious to find out who they’ll pick for the role. Whether it’s anyone, I hope he does well in his new position.”
