Kimberly J. Brown knows that being normal was always vastly overrated for Marnie Piper.
Approximately three decades since the initial airing of the “Halloweentown” film on Disney Channel, the actress offers her thoughts on where the character Marnie Cromwell-Witch might be now – a portrayal consistent with the character’s enduring nature.
In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, Kimberly shared that Marnie would likely continue in a leadership role within Halloweentown. She had a strong passion for fostering advancement and promoting harmony among all realms, hoping for unity rather than division between them.
She went on saying, “Either she’d be educating the next wave of witches or vying for mayor,” she explained. “I sense she’d remain deeply committed to her community, fostering unity and bridging gaps since that’s what she cherished—and also tackling some villains.
Being 39 years old and known for my role as Marnie across the initial trilogy, I can’t help but casually mention that acting was merely my sideline.
It requires a tremendous amount of devotion and affection to protect a town from different enemies and strive for peace among monsters and humans.
The actress from the show “Quints” additionally mentioned that viewers are hoping to see Marnie and Kal Jr., characters from “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge,” team up in future projects. Given that her current spouse, Daniel Kountz, portrayed the charming villain, this isn’t entirely unexpected. However, Kimberly seems hesitant about the prospect.
She mused over the idea of Marnie developing feelings for Kal. Frankly, it seems quite implausible. Given their history as family rivals, a transformation like that might require an extraordinary, miraculous event to occur. Whether such a development is feasible within the context of the storyline remains to be seen.
Regardless if she watches the Halloweentown movies again, they played a significant role in cementing her affection for Halloween.
Through the years, these stories have proven their endurance, as they revolve around family, love, and celebration. It seems the magic of Halloween has always resonated with my inner child. I feel incredibly fortunate to be involved in something that continues to bring this joy to others during the season, especially when we all could use a little more happiness.
“Being an adult is hard enough,” she continued. “We need that inner child and those memories.”
So, she decided to collaborate with McAlister’s Deli on their spooky cookies and Witch’s Brew lemonades for Halloween.
She expressed her delight, saying, “I love the goodies and experiencing the eerie enchantment of the time,” she added. “It seems everyone can find a touch of it, regardless of their age.
