Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Hit With Delay for Nintendo Switch

As a long-time Harry Potter fan who grew up reading the books and watching the movies, I can’t hide my excitement for the upcoming release of “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” on various platforms. The game looks visually stunning, and the prospect of playing as a Quidditch player in the magical world of Hogwarts is simply thrilling. However, it’s disappointing to learn that the Nintendo Switch version will be arriving later than its counterparts for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

1. The Nintendo Switch edition of “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” will come out later than its counterparts for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Earlier today, WB Games revealed the pricing details of “Quidditch Champions” and also released a new game trailer. However, it was disclosed that Nintendo Switch users will have to wait a little longer than anticipated to enjoy “Quidditch Champions”.

According to a press release from WB Games, the release date for “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” on Nintendo Switch is not yet specified and is only indicated as being in “Holiday 2024.” This means a delay of several months compared to other platforms since the digital version will be available starting September 6th, while physical copies will follow on November 8th. It’s expected that the Nintendo Switch release will occur after this November date.

Typically, it’s not unusual for a game like “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” (Nintendo Switch edition) to have a phased release as was the case with “Hogwarts Legacy” in 2023, where the Switch version of the Harry Potter video game didn’t launch until nine months after its counterparts on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Given this precedent, the delayed rollout for “Quidditch Champions” (Nintendo Switch) can be considered more lenient.

Beyond these game release details, it’s been confirmed that WB Games will offer two variants of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions for players to buy. The standard version of the game costs $29.99, whereas the Deluxe Digital edition goes for $39.99. The Deluxe version comes with additional house-themed cosmetics and 2,000 gold that can be used to purchase extra in-game items.

I’m curious, what are your thoughts about the Nintendo Switch version being slightly delayed compared to its other versions? Feel free to share your opinion on my social media platform @MooreMan12.
