As a seasoned movie enthusiast with decades of cinematic exploration under my belt, I must say that the casting of Tom Felton and Zazie Beetz in “They Will Kill You” is nothing short of intriguing! Actor Tom Felton, famous for playing Harry Potter, has secured another significant movie part. He will be teaming up with actress Zazie Beetz from Joker in the upcoming suspenseful film titled “They Will Take Your Life”.
In the upcoming movie, I find myself stepping into the shoes of Beetz’s character, who unwittingly responds to an ad for a high-rise apartment housekeeper in New York City. However, what she’s unaware of is that this seemingly ordinary job will lead me into a community with a troubling past, marked by numerous disappearances over the years.
Could it be under the grip of a satanic cult? Quite possibly.
Additionally, Patricia Arquette from Severance is set to join the main cast alongside Beetz in the upcoming film. She will portray the character who heads the cooperative.
According to sources (via The Hollywood Reporter), Felton will feature as a member of the cult.
Absolutely, Felton gained significant fame playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movie series. However, he’s also made appearances in shows like Origin and The Flash, as well as movies such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Burial, and Some Other Woman.
Regarding Beetz, she’s due to reappear on our screens in the upcoming Joker sequel, featuring once again Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, alongside the debut of Harley Quinn played by Lady Gaga.
The character Sophie Dumond, played by Beetz, is slated to appear again, but specifics regarding her part in the movie remain undisclosed at this time.
In support of “They Will Kill You,” I’m excited to share that it’s shaping up to deliver some heart-pounding moments. This is all thanks to its production by Nocturna Pictures, a horror division established this year by Skydance and the Muschiettis – the talented duo behind “It.”
Although the specific launch date hasn’t been announced, it’s been made clear that production on the movie will commence in September, with Kirill Sokolov at the helm as director. Notably, Sokolov directed the 2019 film “Why Don’t You Just Die!”.
In my opinion, the sinister humor reminiscent of a dark comedian is poised to return in the upcoming film titled “They Will Kill You.” This chilling horror flick promises a distinctive blend of suspense and the macabre wit that’s signature to director Sokolov.
