Harry Potter Star Tom Felton Returns as Draco Malfoy on Broadway

Acting talent Tom Felton, well-known for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, will once again step into the character this fall, marking a return to the franchise after a 14-year hiatus.

The actor is set to perform live on Broadway during a brief and exclusive engagement of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, commencing from 11th November onwards.

*Right now, the show is being staged at New York’s Lyric Theatre. For a firm 19-week period, it will feature performances by Felton.*

For the very first time, a cast member from the Harry Potter movie series is featuring in the Cursed Child stage production. This play debuted on London’s West End in 2016, and was subsequently moved to Broadway in 2018.

Speaking about it, Felton expressed that being involved in the Harry Potter movies ranks among the most significant accolades he’s ever received in his lifetime.

It’s quite extraordinary to find myself retrace his footsteps, not just his famous platinum blonde locks but also the tale he lived – a tale I’m excited to delve deeper into and eventually bring to the most passionate fanbase out there.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of expanding my stage repertoire beyond what was initially showcased. Notably, I’ve been a part of “2:22 A Ghost Story” on the West End and “A Child of Science,” directed by Gareth Farr at Bristol Old Vic.

Since the final Harry Potter movie, “The Deathly Hallows Part Two,” in 2011, he has not been spotted wearing Malfoy’s robes anymore.

It’s uncertain yet if Felton’s performance will make it to the West End, but right now, you can purchase tickets for the Broadway show directly from the official Cursed Child website and for the London show through LOVETheatre.
