As a devoted fan of Tulsa King, I’ve found myself deeply immersed in the intricate web of Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi’s life. The second season was a rollercoaster ride filled with unexpected twists and turns that left me on the edge of my seat. The characters have grown on me, particularly the enigmatic Dwight, played brilliantly by Sylvester Stallone.
Major Tulsa King season 2 spoilers ahead.
In the second episode of Tulsa King, Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi encountered various challenges, both on a personal and professional level, as his adversaries aimed to seize what he had established in Oklahoma.
Following his mandatory move to Oklahoma at the behest of his previous employer after serving time in prison, he eventually built his own domain. Initially finding both the location and its inhabitants unappealing, he grew to appreciate them greatly over time.
By the close of season 2, New York expressed a desire to bring him back, yet Dwight showed no signs of departing. This unexpected turn of events could have significant consequences ahead, along with an unprecedented twist that alters everything about the game.
But are more episodes on their way?
Read on for everything you need to know about Tulsa King season 3.
Has Tulsa King been renewed for season 3?
At present, there’s no announcement about the upcoming fate of Tulsa King, but we remain optimistic after such an exciting season 2 ending (which I’ll discuss further down the line).
She commented, “They’re still keeping everything under wraps,” she said. “With all the series held, it seems like they’re eager to dive into a third season.
As a movie enthusiast, I must admit that my anticipation is piqued for the potential third season. The early indications seem promising; audience reactions and initial viewership numbers appear to be favorable. Thus, I am confidently looking forward to the return of this captivating series.
But Zappardino did add that she “cannot confirm” the renewal.
When would a potential Tulsa King season 3 air?
After the first season aired in November 2022, fans had to wait nearly two years for the second season, which came out in September 2024. It’s uncertain if fresh episodes will air in 2025 or if there might be another extended break in production.
Watch this space for updates.
Tulsa King potential season 3 cast: Who could return?
Should season 3 be approved, we can anticipate several familiar faces reappearing, including Sylvester Stallone playing the role of Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi once more.
Key returnees could include:
- Frank Grillo as Bill Bevilaqua
- Martin Starr as Bodhi

- Max Casella as Armand
- Vincent Piazza as Vince
- Garrett Hedlund as Mitch
- Dana Delany as Margaret
- Annabella Sciorra as Joanne

- Dashiell Connery as Clint
- Justin Garcia-Pruneda as Fred

It remains to be seen if Tatiana Zappardino will return as Tina Manfredi, Dwight’s daughter.
However, it appears that Domenick Lombardozzi’s character, Chickie, has met a tragic end, as he was fatally shot by Bevilaqua.
It appears that Neal McDonough (as Cal Thresher), Rich Ting (as Jackie Ming) and Andrea Savage (as Stacy Beale) have all said their goodbyes.
And there’s also the potential for other returning faces and some new ones, too.
Tulsa King potential season 3 plot: What could happen?
Prior to being killed by Bevilaqua in the season 2 finale, Chickie found himself in a weakened position. This was because Vince had effectively replaced him within the organization, installing new leadership.
New York desired a replica of what Dwight had constructed in Oklahoma, so they instructed Chickie to go there and motivate Dwight to join him back in New York City, rather than giving orders.
However, when The General declined, Chickie stubbornly refused to depart without him, instead devising a strategy with the individual who later proved fatal to him.
Later on, they went to see Dwight, suggesting they establish a franchise using his company, as it had grown following The General’s seizure of Cal’s business.
However, Bevilaqua’s discussion with Chickie abruptly ended when he shot Chickie, an act that granted him half ownership of Dwight’s company.
“You earned it,” he added.
However, even though Dwight was striving to maintain a legitimate business and avoid trouble with federal authorities, the fact that DC has demanded all information that Oklahoma law enforcement has on him raises sufficient concern.
It’s what happened next, however, which shifted the narrative landscape.
During the wee hours of the morning, individuals wearing black and carrying guns took Dwight away, stating that he was now under their employment.
But who is the mystery figure (or figures) pulling the strings?
Could it be an old enemy returning, or is Taylor Sheridan planning to introduce a fresh adversary before we officially know about season 3?
Like we said, here’s hoping new episodes are on the cards because we need answers, and STAT!
