Hazbin Hotel Creator Teases Major Season 2 Update

The animated series “Hazbin Hotel” plans to reopen soon, based on significant news shared earlier this year. Its companion series, “Helluva Boss,” is also set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video as creator Vivienne Medrano works to broaden the Hellaverse in various ways. Since Amazon has already confirmed that Charlie Morningstar’s escapades will continue for three more seasons, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the underworld. Fortunately, it seems like a significant announcement is imminent.

Through social media, Medrano announced that Hazbin Hotel will receive a significant update during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The annual Comic-Con in California takes place from July 24th to the 27th. Vivienne shared a hint, saying “I can’t reveal anything, but I share your impatience and all I can tell you is there will definitely be an update at SDCC, so we are close.” Although no release date has been disclosed for Hazbin Hotel‘s second season yet, this appears to be one of the most substantial pieces of information Medrano might share during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Here’s hoping Hellaverse fans won’t have to wait much longer!

Season 2 Details

At the Comic-Con event in San Diego 2024, voice actress Erika Henningsen revealed that season two of the show “Hazbin Hotel” will have eight episodes. Henningsen, who voices the main character Charlie Morningstar, expressed her anticipation for the new episodes, saying, “The series ‘Hazbin Hotel’ is excellent at creating tension. I was concerned about how we would recreate that tension to lead us towards a climactic end like we had in season 1. However, they manage to surpass our expectations in Episode 8, but what always amazes me is the build-up, the stepping stone that takes us there – and that’s Episode 7.

During last year’s panel, Erika hinted at her preferred episode from the second season, saying, “This isn’t a spoiler, but I’ve had a sneak peek. I can’t wait for Episode 7. It reminds me of why I loved Episode 7 in Season 1. The anticipation is growing, and I love the intensity.

Hazbin Hotel: Beyond Season 2

As fans eagerly anticipate the return of the Underworld Hotel, production on seasons three and four has already started. Photos from the recording booth hint that the Hellaverse is currently undergoing intense production behind-the-scenes. Although specific release dates for future seasons have yet to be announced, it seems that things are looking optimistic for Charlie and his companions as they strive towards redemption.
