Heated Confrontation With Captain Jason Leaves Below Deck Chef in Tears

Tzarina Mace-Ralph is rocking the boat.

In an exclusive preview from TopMob News for the February 24th episode of Below Deck Down Under, Captain Jason Chambers discovers his season three Chef talking disparagingly about him when he wasn’t around.

The argument starts as Tzarina tries to prepare a large, delicious meal for her fellow sailors following a charter trip.

She inquires from Jason in the preview, “What would you like for the crew’s lunch?”, to which he responds, “I don’t need anything, it’s already provided.

Meanwhile, the Captain suggests the foodie utilize any remaining dishes from the meal for the guests to save additional cooking effort. However, Tzarina expresses her dissent with this idea.

She advises the Australian, “They need to have some food as it’s a special occasion. Last time, they didn’t take a proper break for lunch, so I think it would be tiring for them.

But Jason stands firm in his orders.

He suggests, “Go ahead and set some food that won’t spoil quickly, let’s make wraps for now. This is your lunch, but feel free to extend it to brunch if you wish.

In a confessional, the 52-year-old further explains his rationale.

He observes that Tzarina truly values the crew and it would go against her nature to say something like “don’t feed them, that’s okay.” However, she recently faced an issue with her sous chef which didn’t work out. As a result, we can manage with the food available. There is sufficient food for us, so there’s no need to worry about going hungry.

Following Jason’s departure from the galley, Lara Rigby, our Chief Stewardess, pops in to see Tzarina, who promptly expresses her annoyances regarding her supervisor.

She tells Lara, “Jason is really annoying me. Now, on top of preparing breakfast, I have to make more food for brunch. The leftovers are getting cold, and it’s frustrating because we usually don’t eat during our outings. So here we are at 9pm, drinking, and I’m trying to ensure everyone feels good and not deprived of food.

However, unknown to the Tsarina, Jason had positioned himself close enough to hear, and he listened to all of her complaints about the cook. This led him to challenge the cook directly.

He queries the chef, “What seems to be the issue?” The chef replies, “I have a solution that would spare you from cooking and preparing post tip meeting. I’d be pleased if you’d let me cook after the meeting instead.

During the intense argument, the Tzarina was moved to tears, while the Captain, who is typically composed, became frustrated by the disobedience.

The heated disagreement caused the Tzarina to cry, and it angered the Captain, who usually keeps his cool, due to the insubordination.

He emphasizes, “Let’s avoid any conflicts here, I’m working alongside you. My intention is to assist you and make things simpler for you. I’ve offered a solution, yet you arrive with concerns about it. Is this how our interactions will be throughout the season? I won’t tolerate it.

Witness the unfolding drama as “Below Deck Down Under” graces your screens every Monday at 8 p.m., only on Bravo. In the interim, delve back into some of the most explosive crew dismissals in the history of “Below Deck“, by continuing to read on.

From the dismissal of Camille Lamb on ‘Below Deck’, it’s clear that neglecting your duties at work can lead to consequences. This is why the season 10 stew was terminated by stand-in Captain Sandy Yawn, as Chief Stew Fraser Olender consistently pointed out Camille’s unprofessional conduct on the yacht.

Instead of saying “Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his ‘last straw’ after getting caught drinking while preparing for a new charter and partying past appropriate hours,” you could also write: “Fraser told Captain Sandy that his actions, including drinking on duty and excessive partying, had crossed the line.

As Captain Sandy pointed out, I seem to be the connecting factor in all these situations. Despite being an exceptional individual with a captivating personality, it’s crucial that we prioritize the well-being of our vessel above all else.

In the latest series of “Below Deck Adventure,” which debuted in November 2022, Kyle Dickard was dismissed after only three episodes due to his behavior. He engaged in arguments with fellow deckhand Nathan Morley and publicly kissed crew members in the presence of guests. Captain Kerry Titheradge gave Kyle the option to resign, allowing him to avoid a termination that could potentially affect his future employment history.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

During season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean, Captain Sandy dismissed Raygan Tyler not just because he accidentally bumped the boat during docking, but also due to his lack of leadership abilities.

However, Captain Sandy didn’t wish for her action of dismissing him to dishearten the bosun. Instead, she conveyed to Raygan, “Given more time and not being in charge of such a large vessel, I would mentor you. I would instruct you.

Among other factors that led to my dismissal from “Below Deck” was an unfortunate incident in the laundry room where I inadvertently created a hazardous mix by combining bleach with laundry detergent, leading to a toxic mess.

She shared with TopMob News her regret from the December 2020 incident, explaining, “I didn’t realize how harmful that was, and I genuinely feel sorry about it.” Additionally, she mentioned, “You see, Francesca [Rubi] said, ‘Let’s handle this elsewhere.’

Captain Jason Chambers dismissed the bosun and steward, citing unprofessional conduct following a night of festivities with their yachting colleagues, due to inappropriate behavior on their part.

Luke Jones was terminated for an inappropriate incident involving Margot Sisson, where he entered her bed while she was intoxicated and unconscious in a state that was not consensual. Additionally, Laura Bileskaine persisted in making unwanted advances on Adam Kodra even after he made it clear he was not interested in a romantic encounter with her.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but recall an intense moment from season six of Below Deck Mediterranean. The tension between crew members Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea reached its peak during a heated dinner argument, culminating in Lexi’s harsh words towards Matt: “Your parents should have considered aborting you.” This comment crossed the line for Captain Sandy, leading to her swift decision to terminate Lexi’s employment not long after.

Tom Pearson, who was a deckhand, bade farewell to “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” following his dismissal by Captain Glenn Shephard. The parting occurred after an incident where Tom failed to inform the captain that the boat’s anchor was drifting during heavy winds one night, potentially posing a safety risk for all crew members on board. This action led to his final disagreement with the captain.

On ‘Watch What Happens Live’, Captain Glenn admitted that he had to make a regrettable decision due to a mistake, which meant leaving us short-staffed. We had to deal with it as best we could.

As a lifestyle expert, I might put it this way: It’s not uncommon for some individuals to be selective about their meals, but when it comes to the kitchen, Ryan McKeown from ‘Below Deck Down Under’ seemed to be quite the discerning chef. He would scrutinize guests’ food preferences and found it challenging to accept constructive feedback from Captain Jason Chambers, for instance.

It’s possible that Ryan’s departure from Below Deck stands out as one of the most unforgettable in the franchise history, as he exposed his bottom to Jason and the audience while leaving the ship.

Under Deck Australia’s crew member Magda Ziomek was let go due to poor job performance. Frequently caught engrossed in text messages or video calls with her partner, Chief Stew Aesha Scott opted to find a replacement for Magda before the conclusion of the charter season.

As a connoisseur of the finer aspects of life, I find it necessary to address a recent development involving one of the cast members from Below Deck Mediterranean. Peter Hunziker, a familiar face on our screens, was let go from the series back in June 2020 following the sharing of an inappropriate post on social media platforms. This action was taken due to the offensive nature of the content he shared.

In a previous announcement, it was stated that Peter Hunziker from ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ was dismissed due to a racially insensitive post he made. To reduce his visibility moving forward, Bravo and 51 Minds are revising the show’s editing for future episodes.

On the reality show “Below Deck Mediterranean,” Captain Sandy decided to terminate the employment of Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier following an incident where boson Malia White found out that one of Hannah’s coworkers had hidden Valium (a prescription medication) and a vape pen without disclosing it. Hannah asserted that she used the Valium for her anxiety.

In the August 2020 interview with TopMob News, Hannah admitted, “Given another chance, I would have disclosed them immediately upon joining.” She clarified, “I didn’t mean to keep it a secret or intentionally hide anything.

Delaney Evans, a crew member from Below Deck Mediterranean, departed not long after she had joined the team. Initially, she was brought in during season six to assist Chief Stew Katie Flood. However, Katie concluded that Delaney’s presence was causing more problems than solutions, leading to her dismissal following a single charter.

Delaney expressed to Bravo Insider that he believed Katie felt overpowered by the situation, leading her to conclude that returning to their previous state seemed like the optimal solution. He suggested that Katie was simply overwhelmed by all the events unfolding and the input she was receiving.

On season eight of “Below Deck”, crew member Shane Coopersmith found himself struggling due to a lack of proficiency in essential tasks, frequent tardiness, and even catching some much-needed rest during work hours, ultimately leading to his dismissal.

On season three of Below Deck, Captain Lee Rosbach dismissed Chef Leon Walker due to the disarray in the kitchen. A kitchen fire had occurred, and though Captain Lee blamed Chief Steward Kate Chastain for the mishap, he himself ended up being removed from service.

Similar to several cast members in the franchise, Chris Brown from Below Deck was dismissed during season five due to not fulfilling his job responsibilities adequately. Following his termination by Captain Lee, Chris expressed some final thoughts as he departed the vessel, saying, “Who cares?

In the fourth season of Below Deck Mediterranean, Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was dismissed by Captain Sandy due to her inability to utilize her culinary talents effectively and prepare high-quality dishes for the guests, which even included less than satisfactory nachos.

Mila admitted, “It definitely leaves me feeling quite miserable about my departure. You see, those with large egos occasionally need a gentle reminder of reality. However, it only fuels my determination to work harder.

On certain occasions, team members may struggle to collaborate effectively. This was precisely the reason Captain Lee decided to dismiss Chandler Brooks during the sixth season of ‘Below Deck’, expressing his viewpoint as, “I feel it’s not an ideal match.
