Heels Creator Details Possibility of a WWE Collaboration With Raw's Move to Netflix

As a lifelong wrestling enthusiast who’s watched countless hours of WWE and binged through every season of Heels, I must say that this potential collaboration has me jumping for joy! The idea of these two powerhouses joining forces on Netflix is like the ultimate tag team move – it’s a dream come true for wrestling fans everywhere.

By early 2025, Monday Night Raw, WWE’s flagship show, will officially migrate to Netflix. A groundbreaking 10-year deal worth $5 billion dollars is expected to broaden the reach of the “red brand” to a vast audience. Additionally, this partnership opens up possibilities for exploring new content avenues. Since wrestling has regained significant popularity, Netflix’s acquisition of the STARZ series Heels, which was unfortunately canceled after two seasons, has sparked anticipation among fans. Although a potential Season 3 remains uncertain due to cancellations and cast/crew moving on to other projects, viewers are optimistic that a platform like Netflix could potentially revive it, as it has done with shows in the past. Moreover, teaming up with WWE can only bolster these prospects.

WWE and Heels Collaboration Talks

This raises an intriguing thought: Could WWE and DWL ever team up in the future? According to creator of ‘Heels’, Michael Waldron, both parties have had productive discussions about potential collaboration and express admiration for the series. If the partnership proceeds, it could allow a more seamless incorporation of WWE into the storyline as DWL emerges as a rival, as Michael Waldron stated to Variety.

As a passionate gamer and huge fan of “Heels,” I can’t help but share my thoughts about the ongoing discussions. With Stephen Amell’s background in wrestling, it doesn’t feel too far-fetched that this TV show could intersect with WWE somehow. In “Heels,” Jack and Spade, portrayed by Amell and Ludwig, run a family-owned wrestling promotion. It all seems to be going great until they start fighting over their late father’s legacy. With CM Punk playing Ricky Rabies in the show, there’s an exciting possibility that his current role in WWE could play a part in the storyline. Here’s hoping for some amazing crossover events!

It remains to be seen if WWE and Heels team up for Netflix content; however, both seasons of their wrestling series are currently streaming on the platform. Meanwhile, WWE’s Monday Night Raw will continue airing on USA Network until the end of the year, featuring stars such as Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, Gunther, and Zelina Vega.

I’d love to hear your perspective regarding a potential collaboration between WWE and Heels in the future. Feel free to share your thoughts about X and Bluesky, HaleyAnne! 🤗
