Hellblade 2 Finally Getting Physical Edition on PS5, Courtesy of Limited Run Games

Over the past week, I’ve been thrilled to learn about the upcoming release of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II on PS5! It seems that Ninja Theory’s haunting tale, which initially lacked a physical edition upon its debut, will now get the long-awaited, tangible version it truly deserves.

As a dedicated gamer here, I’m excited to share that my favorite games are now being given ratings by the ESRB, the go-to authority on video game age classifications in the USA. This time, it’s for a re-release, and the publisher is none other than Limited Run Games – thanks for the heads up, Wario64!

You might be familiar with the fact that Limited Run is a business specializing in creating and distributing physical versions of games that are typically available only in digital format.

As a dedicated gaming enthusiast, I’m always thrilled when classic and independent games find their way onto modern platforms, breathing new life into timeless favorites. In an exciting turn of events, it looks like Hellblade II will join the ranks of contemporary blockbuster titles receiving this special treatment.

According to unofficial reports, it appears that Limited Run’s game will indeed exist, as indicated by the ESRB’s rating. The game is expected to release on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series gaming systems.

Will Microsoft’s cross-platform launches raise the issue of whether they will also be made available for purchase in a physical format, in addition to digital versions?

To date, the news hasn’t been particularly favorable for collectors as both Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (PS5 version) and DOOM: The Dark Ages require downloads despite being physical games.

Bethesda has published both, while it’s still uncertain if one of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios games will be physically released on PS5 by Microsoft itself. However, it appears that Hellblade II might buck this trend, but technically, it’s being made possible by Limited Run.

Additionally, there are whispers about a tangible edition for Gears of War: Reloaded. We can only hope that this turns out to be accurate as we eagerly anticipate further updates.

Of course, it’s anticipated that Limited Run will officially reveal details for the physical version of Hellblade II at an appropriate time. If you prefer having a hard copy on your shelf, or if a digital edition suits you just fine, feel free to share your preference with us in the comments section below!
