However, last month, MAPPA stirred excitement once more by unveiling a fresh teaser for Season 2. Regrettably, the studio’s latest announcement doesn’t disclose the long-awaited release date, but instead offers fans a new PC and mobile game to tide us over until Season 2 premieres.
At JumpFesta 2025, we were thrilled to hear the initial announcement of the game titled “Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle”. Now, we’ve been given a sneak peek at this exciting new video game through a trailer shared by MAPPA and GOOD SMILE COMPANY on its official website. This game is adapted from the hugely successful manga series, “Hell’s Paradise“, created by Yuji Kaku. The storyline for this manga was first introduced in Shonen Jump+ magazine in 2018, and it concluded with the publication of its final chapter in 2021.
Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle Brings Hell’s Paradise to Mobile
Registration is now available for the game “Paradise Battle” in Japan. The official website has announced that the game’s release year is 2025, although the specific launch date remains undisclosed. Studio MAPPA is overseeing the game’s production, with Akira Kindaichi, director of the anime series “Hell’s Paradise,” handling scenario supervision. The company GOOD SMILE COMPANY is responsible for producing and distributing “Paradise Battle.
The trailer combines scenes from the initial episodes of MAPPA’s anime series, Hell’s Paradise, followed by clips showcasing gameplay action. In this footage, characters Gabimaru and Sagiri engage in battles against enigmatic entities known as Soshin on the mystifying Kotaku island. The game, titled Paradise Battle, is categorized as a role-playing game focused on survival, and it will feature unique voiceovers created specifically for this video game experience.
The action-packed series, “Jigokuraku: Battle in Paradise,” can be downloaded for free on Google Play, with additional in-app purchases available.

Hell’s Paradise Season 2 Releases in 2026
After being sidelined by MAPPA for about two years while they handled numerous other big-name anime projects, Hell’s Paradise is gearing up for a powerful return next year. The initial teaser trailer unveiled that Season 2 of this series will debut in January 2026.
People are eagerly looking forward to AnimeJapan 2025 happening this coming weekend, where they hope to get fresh information about the show, such as new images and possibly a definite release date. Until then, we can only re-read the manga or rewatch Season 1 of the anime, which is available on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
