Here’s What the Dance Moms Cast Is Up to Now

Asia Monét Ferreira, a dancer and reality TV star, discussed her inspiring journey from her anxiety struggles to the launch of her beauty line Kare in 2023. She also shared her experiences in dancing, teaching, and her past on reality TV shows like “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” “Dance Moms,” and her own series “Raising Asia.” Despite stepping away from the cameras before her 10th birthday, she expressed pride in her high school achievements and a bright future ahead with brand deals, events invitations, and a dance-ready single. Asia also reflected on her enjoyable experience growing up on television despite its challenges.

These days the cast of Dance Moms is largely living off the dance floor.

As an avid fan, I can’t help but marvel at the incredible journeys of these remarkable dancers. While Kalani Hilliker is nurturing the next generation of talent and continuing to shine seven years post-Dance Moms exit, Kendall Vertes is making her way to the summit of a new pyramid. JoJo Siwa, on the other hand, is living her best life by popping bottles on stage during electrifying concerts. Maddie Ziegler is expanding her horizons with film roles, and her sister Kenzie Ziegler is dropping fresh albums for all to enjoy. Nia Sioux and Chloé Lukasiak are now accepting diplomas instead of trophies as they graduate from high school. The world of dance never ceases to amaze me!

Regarding Brooke Hyland and Paige Hyland, two individuals with a substantial online following and profitable careers, they have not once wept into their pillows about retiring from their leotards.

After an intense argument between dance instructor Abby Lee Miller and Kelly Hyland, the sisters took a collective bow following a contentious 2013 incident on “Dance Moms”.

In a heartfelt conversation with TopMob News, Brooke, 26, shared her thoughts: “I began dancing at the tender age of 2, yet little did I know that would be my final performance. Looking back now, I feel a pang of sadness. However, despite this wistful feeling, I haven’t danced since then. In fact, I can honestly assert that I no longer pine for it, an unusual sensation.”

“Just like Paige had said, I find it hard to believe that was my last dance. Yet, as a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel that I ended it on an exciting note.”

And, they’ve all continued to have fun

Brooke no longer feels connected to her barre classes—as evident from her lackluster participation in the performance—but she remains dedicated to her friends.

As a devoted fan looking back, I celebrated the 13-year anniversary of “Dance Moms” premiering on Lifetime with a heartfelt post: “Can you believe it’s been 13 years since I was part of that extraordinary world of competitive dance?! Happy anniversary, @dancemomstv !!!”

Her glance elicited numerous reactions from her previous teammates, among them was Kendall’s comment: “Thanks to @dancemomstv, I gained my siblings.”

Because, yes, all the show alum are very much still in sync.

“Kalani clarified to TopMob that despite the apparent animosity between their mothers portrayed on the show, they are in fact good friends. People often assume we dislike each other based on the various storylines, but in reality, we have strong bonds.”

So know that even when they’re not all over each other’s IGs, they’re dancing to the same beat.

Chloé shared, “Even if I didn’t see them for ten years, upon reuniting, I would feel as though no time had passed and we’d still have an instant connection due to our shared experiences.”

Although they will forever remain a team, each member has excelled individually, reaching new heights in their personal achievements. Witness how the outstanding performers from Abby’s Junior Elite competition squad continue to surpass their individual peaks.

For over a decade, the dancer from Pennsylvania has captivated audiences as the undisputed leading lady of Abby Lee Dance Company. Since then, she’s soared from being a prominent figure in Sia’s music videos to securing roles in films. Her credits include Sia’s directorial debut “Music,” the recent “West Side Story” adaptation, and an upcoming project titled “My Old Ass,” set for release in 2024.

In addition to publishing a New York Times bestselling memoir, “The Maddie Diaries,” in 2017, she evaluated new contestants on “So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.” Together with her younger sister, Kenzie Ziegler, she launched the podcast “Take 20 With Maddie and Kenzie” for more candid and unfiltered conversations. As Maddie shared with TopMob News, “We aimed to create a less polished production and instead focus on us having genuine discussions.”

In the future, she plans to establish her own beauty brand, as she expressed, “I would really like to create my own line someday. It’s a goal that holds great significance for me and something I’ve long aspired to achieve.”

After completing her training in acrobatics, one of the singers most recent outputs was the 2023 release “Anatomy,” an intensely personal account detailing her complex relationship with her estranged father. In conversation with People, she acknowledged, “I’m definitely venturing beyond my familiar territory with this single, and expressing myself authentically in a more profound way than just through social media—it’s about sharing my story.”

With great respect to the approximately 15 million followers of “Dance Mom” on Instagram, she delved more deeply for her third album titled “biting my tongue,” which is set to be released on July 26, 2024.

She shared with TopMob News for the first time the experiences and significant aspects of her life, expressing hope that listeners might find joy, sadness, or relatability in her story.

After almost a decade since her last appearance on “Dance Moms,” the award-winning soloist is eager to resume her dancing career and perform regularly on stage.

As the author of “Girl on Pointe: Chloe’s Guide to Taking on the World,” I deeply missed dance and yearned to rediscover the passion I once held for it. So, my mom, Christi Lukasiak, and the mother-daughter duo Diane and Brittany Pent and I set out to establish Elevé National Dance Competition. However, I was determined to create an experience that contrasted my previous one – something uplifting. I put forth the effort to develop a program that would rekindle my love for dance.

The actress has expressed her love for other things in her life, including the original cast of Lifetime series. On Instagram in May 2023, she posted a photo with Nia Sioux and labeled her as “one of my sisters from another mother.” Pepperdine University graduate that she is.

The original founding member, known for her love of death drops, remains a force to be reckoned with in both music and acting. She released her single “Low Key Love” in 2020, while also starring in the web series “Sunnyside Up.” Additionally, she appeared in an impressive 59 episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

After completing her studies as a UCLA graduate with a degree in American Literature and Culture in June 2024, she spent her evenings pursuing a career in Hollywood. Notably, she released her single “IMMA CATCH” and made it onto Variety’s 2023 Young Hollywood Impact Report.

Moving forward, she expressed her eagerness to dedicate herself fully to her profession and artistic pursuits during an interview with TopMob News in May 2024. She is now free to explore new opportunities, direct more projects, act in more productions, and even sing, all while continuing to perform in various capacities.

In place of trading individual numbers for group outings, the oldest members of the show spearheaded a 2023 adventure to Costa Rica. They announced on Instagram in July that “for seven unforgettable days, we went from being strangers to tearfully bidding farewell at the airport as friends.”

Following that, she embarked on a six-day adventure through Croatia, reminiscent of her enriching European backpacking experience post-Ohio University graduation. She described it as an opportunity to discover breathtaking locales and immerse in captivating cultures, all while forging bonds that would last a lifetime. This journey proved to be the adventure of a lifetime for her.

In the United States, a Pittsburgh resident, who became engaged to account manager Brian Thalman in May 2024, utilizes her marketing degree effectively. She does so through her Bite-Sized Foodie Instagram account and the Hyland Sisters brand she runs alongside her younger sister Paige.

After earning my degree from West Virginia University in May 2023 and receiving heartfelt congratulations from Christi Lukasiak, I’ve been on the move non-stop. From the Hamptons to Colorado and Wyoming, I’ve traveled across the country, making unforgettable memories. At the end of each day, instead of shedding tears into my pillow, I’m filled with excitement for the adventures yet to come.

As a dedicated follower, I’d rephrase it as: “My dearest companion on travels, aside from my sister Brooke, is none other than Jayvon Thrift. In every aspect, I hold him dear.” (2022 post)

In July 2024, after celebrating five years as a couple, Paige and her partner signed the lease for their first apartment. She announced on Instagram, “A new adventure is just around the corner.”

As an avid fan and follower of James Madison University’s dance team, I can’t help but feel a sense of awe and pride as I watch the rising senior continue to amass trophies with her talented team. If I could go back in time and speak to my younger self, I would tell her how proud she should be of her hard work and dedication to this amazing dance community. And just like her loving mentor and supporter, Jill Vertes, I too share in the immense pride I have for this extraordinary dancer.

The newcomer to the second season has not only explored acting with roles in films like “Rapunzel: A Princess Frozen in Time” and the live-action adaptation of “Anastasia,” but also showcased her singing talent under the moniker Kendall K, producing multiple albums. Furthermore, she has successfully secured numerous sponsorship deals due to her impressive Instagram following numbering over 11 million.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: In the two short seasons that JoJo Siwa graced the original series after her time on “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” she managed to leave an indelible mark. Her captivating presence earned her a substantial following on YouTube, an enviable licensing agreement with Nickelodeon, a line of branded merchandise that seems endless, and even a spot on Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people of 2020.

In an interview with Kelly Ripa, she shared that one valuable lesson she gleaned from “Dance Moms” is the importance of either sinking or swimming – metaphorically speaking. It means being fully immersed and determined to succeed in the face of challenges, rather than merely surviving or giving up.

These days, she’s no longer just keeping afloat but rather making waves as she socializes with notables like Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian. In the year 2021, this LGBTQ+ icon teamed up with Jenna Johnson to become the trailblazing same-sex pair on the American adaptation of “Dancing With the Stars.”

She has her sights set on an even grander platform now, sharing with Raven-Symoné and Miranda Pearman-Maday, “My deepest desire, my heart’s greatest longing, is to perform at the Super Bowl.” After securing this coveted opportunity—which she achieved by releasing her debut EP, “Guilty Pleasure,” in July 2024—she declared on an August 2023 episode of “The Best Podcast Ever,” “Then I’ll retire and start a family.”

In my beloved hometown of Arizona, I, the passionate dancer, actress, and entrepreneur, am wholeheartedly immersing myself in what I refer to as my “health and wellness chapter.” I’m thrilled to announce that come 2023, I will be introducing my very own beauty line named Kare.

She shared with TopMob News how she battles anxiety. Her desire was to establish a brand that welcomes all, providing an opportunity to unwind and prioritize self-care, essential for managing daily life.

In her new role appearing in season 4, this dancer, who initially gained recognition on “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” continues to excel at every arabesque. She has returned to dancing and instructing with grace and determination. Regarding her teaching style, she admitted, “My approach to teaching differs significantly from Abby’s and most of my past dance instructors. I believe in being gentle yet challenging my students, encouraging them to reach their full potential.”

Asia, who hails from California, formally concluded her television tenure before turning 10. She appeared in a single season on “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” “Dance Moms,” and her self-titled series “Raising Asia.” In an interview with TopMob News in 2021, Asia shared her positive perspective, acknowledging that not every cast member may have felt the same. “I truly enjoyed my time on set,” she emphasized. “My experience was perfect just the way it was.”

Concluding her final year of high school in June 2023 with the title of valedictorian, she expressed on Instagram, “I’m incredibly proud of my accomplishment in reaching this personal milestone. I’m eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.”

Due to an abundance of sponsorships, invitations to various high-profile events, and the recent release of her catchy dance track titled “Oh Boys,” her outlook on the future is promising.

Regarding her history as a reality TV star, she shared with TopMob, “I truly appreciated the experience and my upbringing on screen. Although it may appear extravagant, it significantly prepared me for life, an experience I will always be grateful for.”

Ever since becoming a team member in season 7, the St. Louis native has been gracing significantly bigger dance floors.

During the span of touring with Kendrick Lamar and participating in Usher’s Las Vegas residency and Super Bowl halftime show, she graced the Grammy Awards stage together with Missy Elliott in February 2023. Overwhelmed by this incredible experience, she expressed her gratitude with the words “Beyond blessed!!!” on social media.

After performing at The Lion King’s 30th anniversary concert at the Hollywood Bowl and sharing the stage with Chloe Bailey at the BET Awards, she intends to continue ascending her own mountain of achievements. In a December 2022 Instagram post concluding her 76-show tenure with Lamar, she expressed, “I’m aware that this is just the start.”

After completing a three-year tenure during which she attempted to succeed Maddie’s role in ballet, the Phoenix native expressed in a 2023 YouTube video with her friend Kelsey Millar that she yearned “to return to high school and live an ordinary life among my friends.” She acknowledged that high school had been challenging but was grateful for the experience. Now that she had tasted both worlds, she understood how to strike a balance between them.

A 2021 graduate, identified as both the host and co-creator of the Out of Line podcast, has been keeping her three million Instagram followers engaged by sharing her Coachella and Stagecoach festival experiences. Additionally, she’s encountered numerous fan encounters while accompanying her dance students to competitions.
