Hilaria Baldwin is setting the record straight.
In response to criticism following a joint red carpet interview, the founder of Yoga Vida along with her spouse, Alec Baldwin, voiced their opinions, explaining that it appeared as if she was reprimanding him for interrupting her during the conversation.
On March 19, a video posted on her Instagram showed the pair snuggled in bed synchronizing their lip movements with an interview audio clip. After the voiceover concluded, Hilaria posed the question to Alec, “And that action is known as, what’s today’s vocabulary word?
To which the 30 Rock alum responded, “Manterrupting.”
Laughingly suggesting it might have multiple interpretations – positive, negative, or even a “tongue-twister” issue – Hilaria clarified, “Ultimately, what I mean is that we often interrupt one another, and at times, our children join in the interruptions too.
As they were recording the video, it seemed like one of their seven kids – Carmen (11), Rafael (9), Leonardo (8), Romeo (6), Eduardo (4), María Lucía (4), and Ilaria (2) – were knocking on their bedroom door and asking for “mommy.” This prompted Hilaria to joke, “It sounds like one of our children is trying to enter the room.
Before wrapping up our conversation and attending to our kids, my dear spouse, there was one final wish I felt compelled to share with you.
“And now that we cleared all of that up,” she told Alec, “give me a kiss.”
Despite the entire incident, Hilaria didn’t stop chuckling about it. In another Instagram video, the 41-year-old snuggled up with Alec, 66, who was trying to sleep with his eyes closed. In a quiet and amusing manner, she joked, “Many women are telling me they would treat me better than you do. Do you want us to switch roles?
And Alec immediately played into the joke, replying, “Yeah, I think this isn’t working.”
A week prior to their jovial reaction, Hilaria and Alec encountered criticism following an interview with Extra, during the inauguration of Planet Hollywood. Some viewers commented that she appeared “unpleasant towards him,” while others accused her of being “extremely rude.
In the video from March 11th, Hilaria showed a noticeable response when Alec interrupted her comment regarding the possibility of a second season for their TLC reality show, “The Baldwins.

Looking directly into the camera, she playfully commented, “Ah, this is exactly why it might be best to exclude him from our program.
