A former star of “One Tree Hill” urged her fans to action when she found a TikTok account pretending to be Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s teenage son, Augustus “Gus” Morgan, impersonating him.
“Hi gang. Need a little help. I don’t have TikTok and neither does our son,” she wrote on Instagram Oct. 25 alongside a screenshot of the fake profile. “But there’s this creep chick who is obsessed with him and keeps creating profiles on various platforms. I get it. He’s awesome. But she’s a freak for stealing the identity of a 14 year old boy.”
Later on, Hilarie explained the measures she and Jeffrey took to address the issue. “We’ve attempted communication with her parents,” she added. “With her personally. We even contacted the authorities. Due to certain actions she’s taken, she’s violated laws. Therefore, if you have a platform for it, I kindly ask that you report her.
Not long after, Hilarie – who is also the mother of George Morgan, their 6-year-old daughter with a former cast member of ‘The Walking Dead’ – offered an update revealing that another social media profile had been created to falsely represent Gus.
The TikTok profile has been removed, but it was connected to a YouTube channel where she was falsely portraying herself as Gus. Her name is now visible on that YouTube account. I’ve contacted the campus police and her mother’s church. I’m dead serious about this.
Hilarie didn’t provide specifics regarding the nature of the user’s shared content or any involvement from legal authorities. Apart from a recent appeal to followers and the occasional joyful update, Hilarie and Jeffrey tend to keep their family matters private on social media.
Still, she has occasionally given insight into her and Jeffrey’s life at home with Gus and George.
