This year, Team Cherry’s highly anticipated (and for some, eagerly-awaited to the point of pain) game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, does not yet have a specific release date, but here’s something exciting! If you’re in Melbourne, Australia, you can play it at ACMI, the national museum of screen culture, located in Fed Square, starting from September.
According to IGN, the museum is organizing a display titled “Game Worlds” on September 18th. This event will feature numerous sprites related to Hornet, along with an explanation of the strategies involved in its toughest battles.
Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell expressed that since the unveiling of “Hollow Knight: Silksong” in 2019, it has been one of the world’s most eagerly awaited indie games. They are excited to honor this South Australian-made game as the main attraction for Game Worlds in September.
In Silksong, we delve deep into the intricacies of its art direction and design, from the sprites that bring Hornet’s movements and attacks to life, to the logic behind the toughest boss battles. Plus, it’s playable in-gallery! We’re thrilled Team Cherry has entrusted us with their work and can’t wait to show you what they’ve created!
Hollow Knight: Silksong is being crafted for release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the yet-to-be-released Nintendo Switch 2. This game was first unveiled in February 2019 and continues to be one of the highly anticipated video games around.
After the success of the hit game Hollow Knight, Silksong continues the story by focusing on Hornet, who is kidnapped and transported to a different realm. Once she manages to break free, her quest is to uncover the kingdom’s secrets. If it becomes playable in September, we might be hearing an announcement about its release date very soon. Keep your eyes peeled for more information in the upcoming weeks!
