Hollow Knight: Silksong is “Real, Progressing, and Will Release,” Says Team Cherry

Fans of Team Cherry’s game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, have been extremely anxious for its release, and the latest update from co-creator William Pellen on his Twitter profile has only fueled their excitement further. It appears that fans are being encouraged to participate in an alternate reality game (ARG), which could possibly hint at a reveal scheduled for April 2nd.

Regrettably, Matthew “Leth” Griffin, who oversees marketing and publishing, had previously informed YouTuber fireb0rn that there was no truth to the speculation, and indeed no ARG (Alternate Reality Game). Luckily, Griffin has since addressed a passionate fan’s query about the game’s authenticity. He confirmed that, yes, the game does exist, is being developed, and will eventually be released.

Despite assurances from Team Cherry that their Metroidvania title won’t linger in development limbo, there haven’t been many updates since its delay beyond the first half of 2023. A key playtester suggested the project is progressing, and fans have faith that it will be worth the patience. As ever, we remain hopeful for more news or a new trailer to surface soon.

The game titled “Hollow Knight: Silksong” was initially unveiled back in February of 2019. It is planned to be launched on various platforms such as the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, it will be available for immediate play through Game Pass on its debut day.
