As a gamer, just wrapped up the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, my heart pounding for upcoming games and my jaw dropped at the prices! But in the whirlwind of excitement, a glimpse of Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong caught my eye. During the Partner Sizzle Reel trailer, we got a brief sneak peek at our beloved character Hornet.
You’ll encounter a mix of jumping, sliding down inclines, jumping over sharp obstacles, and battling opponents. There hasn’t been much new content revealed since the game’s trailer debuted in June 2022, but the Metroidvania-style game is expected to launch later this year.
As a gamer eagerly awaiting the release of a game announced back in February 2019, I’ve learned to take plans with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to long-awaited titles. Originally slated for 2023, the game has since been postponed without a definite new date. Last year, ratings from the ESRB, South Korea’s GRAC, and Australia’s ratings board hinted at some progress, but the release remains uncertain.
Additionally, Hollow Knight: Silksong will also be available on Nintendo Switch (original), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, as well as PC platforms. Keep an eye out for further updates and potential gameplay previews within the upcoming months.
