Hollywood Star Glen Powell Rallies Support After Friend’s Devastating Brain Cancer Diagnosis

Glen Powell is using his star power to help a friend fighting for her life.

Actor from the movie “Top Gun: Maverick” recently informed his fans that makeup artist Charlie Hounslow, known for his work on films like “Gladiator II”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and “Game of Thrones”, is currently fighting stage 4 brain cancer.

On Instagram Stories, Powell expressed on April 29th that Charlie Hounslow is a delightful individual whom he is fortunate to work with daily. He described her as a reliable and kind-hearted companion with a contagious laughter, and an authentic passion for living.

The Twisters actress went on to say, “Unfortunately, Charlie has been diagnosed with a severe and as-of-now incurable form of brain cancer known as Stage 4 Glioblastoma. Any donation, regardless of size, will aid in providing her the necessary medical attention.” (Shared is a link to a GoFundMe page.)

As a devoted fan, I too have been following the updates about Claire Holt’s loved one, Charlie. She bravely shared news of Charlie’s health struggle on her personal social media platforms. In solidarity, she generously contributed to the GoFundMe page that her family established to help cover Charlie’s medical treatments and ongoing care.

It is stated that Charlie has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma, a particularly aggressive and currently incurable form of brain cancer. Few could have anticipated this development, given their acquaintance with Charlie. After enduring some severe headaches, they were taken to Watford Hospital, where a CT scan disclosed a brain mass. An MRI provided the grim confirmation.

Additionally, Charlie’s relatives mentioned on their GoFundMe page that they found an exceptional medical center in Germany, which provides a treatment plan estimated at around $200,000.

They stated, “We’re working hard to ensure that Charlie receives top-tier medical attention, but the cost of these treatments is quite substantial.

The article noted that Nick, Charlie’s brother, has arrived in London from Los Angeles and is now residing with her as a show of support.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to express my gratitude on behalf of the family. The funding will not only enable me to continue being by Nick’s side, but also to attend her appointments and advocate for her care. We are deeply thankful for any assistance you can extend – be it through donations, sharing this page, or sending good thoughts and prayers in Charlie’s direction.
