Home and Away star Lynne McGranger and daughter Clancy look the mirror image of each other in loved up photos

Lynne McGranger’s daughter Clancy McWaters is the spitting image of her.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but gush about the captivating beauty that regularly graces the Instagram feed of Home and Away star, who just so happens to be 72 years young! This radiant woman, with whom I share an affection for yoga instructor extraordinaire, is my partner Paul McWaters’ other half. Every time she posts a picture, it’s like a breath of fresh air that fills me with inspiration and admiration.

As a devoted follower, I can’t help but be taken aback by the striking resemblance between them. The mother-daughter pair seem to have been cut from the same cloth, with their shared sharp facial traits, radiant smiles, and captivating blue eyes that gleam brightly.

Apart from academics, it’s apparent that Clancy has a soft spot for artistic pursuits, much like her mother mentioned earlier. It turns out that Clancy takes delight in vocal performances (singing), rhythmic movements (dancing), and dramatic presentations (acting).

In 2015, Lynne shared with Sydney Confidential that the individual in question is versatile, as she can sing, dance, and act. At the current moment, it appears she’s focusing more on singing and dancing.

It caught us off guard when Clancy expressed her desire to pursue drama studies at around 15 or 16 years old. However, we’re genuinely thrilled about it and will wholeheartedly back her in her endeavors.

Currently residing in Sydney where she instructs yoga, Clancy occasionally gets a chance to appear as an extra on the set of Home and Away.

Based on Clancy’s LinkedIn profile, it indicates that she has made appearances on various well-known Australian TV series in supporting roles, such as Packed To The Rafters.

The woman with blonde hair is known for appearing in various advertisements, including those for Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), McDonald’s, the Cancer Council, and Tourism Australia.

In October 2022, Lynne shared news about Clancy’s engagement to her partner, Luke Dickson, on Instagram.

Overjoyed for our stunning daughter and her wonderful partner on their engagement! We adore you both deeply,” Lynne wrote in her post.

Since 1993, Lynne has been portraying the character Irene Roberts on Home and Away, a role she assumed from actress Jacqueline Phillips.

Initially, Irene Roberts appeared only occasionally on the show, but her role was expanded to that of a permanent cast member following the arrival of Lynne.

The veteran actress is one of the longest-serving stars on the Australian soap.

After spending three decades in her role, Lynne is now departing from the renowned Australian series. The last scenes she acted in were captured in March.

According to recent reports, it appears that Lynne may be planning to marry her longtime partner Paul now that she has retired from the series at last.

The couple have been together for more than 40 years.

A confidant of the soap actor shared with New Idea that a wedding might be possible given that Lynne is no longer bound by shooting obligations for Home and Away.

Previously, Lynne often joked about her and Paul getting married once their daughter Clancy got married herself. She found the concept of a double wedding amusing, it was noted.

‘But Clancy got married in August 2023 and her parents stubbornly kept their de facto status.’

‘All that could change now Lynne has more time on her hands. Watch this space.’

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve always been intrigued by the private lives of individuals, and that includes my friend Lynne. In an exclusive chat with New Idea way back in 2014, she shared the heartwarming story of how her relationship bloomed with her partner.

She shared that back in 1984, I extended an invitation for him to join me at my residence [following a meal we had shared], and since then, he’s never returned home. To this day, that’s still the case, she mentioned.

Lynne added while she was still waiting for Paul to propose, she was in no rush to tie the knot.

She playfully mentioned that we often make lighthearted comments about acquiring appliances when we need them, but in all seriousness, we currently require a new washing machine.
