Just prior to The Simpsons Funday Football, Homer and Bart had a brief game of football, after which Homer grew tired and dozed off right in front of the television.
During Monday Night Football, Homer, feeling down about appearing as a loser in front of his son, struggles to stay awake, hoping to avoid a dream where he unexpectedly enters an NFL match…and that’s precisely what transpires.
