The thought of a co-op Horizon game is intriguing, but I can’t help but wonder how Aloy would handle sharing the spotlight!

It appears there’s always more to look forward to when it comes to “Horizon” games. As expected, we have some exciting releases coming up, such as the remastered version of “Horizon Zero Dawn” set for next month and “LEGO Horizon Adventures” not too long after that. However, fans might be wondering about the next big project from Guerrilla Games. Could we possibly see a new mainline single-player game in the series coming out soon?

As reported by journalist Jason Schreier, during a recent podcast on Spawn Wave, he stated that Guerrilla’s upcoming project will indeed be the co-op game that the studio confirmed was in development last year (2022). However, Schreier mentioned that the sequel to Horizon Forbidden West is still some time away.

Guerrilla Games has previously acknowledged they’re developing the next installment of the Horizon series for single-player gameplay, but an official announcement hasn’t been made yet. According to reports by Schreier, it seems this may not be announced any time in the near future.

Additionally, it’s been reported that a Horizon MMORPG is being developed together with NCSoft, following their strategic partnership deal with PlayStation the previous year.
